Tennis Racquet Weight Training Aid

Three out of five stars. Not bad, but the product (or product line) needs two major improvements. First the quality control needs to be improved. Tennis players are going to eventually tear the stitching that sews the Velcro material to the neoprene body of the weight. I have mine (6oz yellow model) for a couple of months now with very, very little use. The stitching is already coming undone. And this is not something you can easily take to an alteration shop and have them re-stitch with something more durable. Tennis players are constantly going to go put on and take off this weight. The stitching has to be better, thicker and more durable to last for years because the Velcro material has to be sticky and grippy (or there will be problems while swinging the racket). Personally, I would like to see this company manufacture and produce a 4oz model too for older players or younger players looking to add a little bit of resistance and strength training. I personally think the 6oz is a touch heavy to start with. At 6oz, I would certainly not recommend serving unless you're just doing practice serves at a much slower pace. Otherwise, using 6oz for higher-speed serving or overhead practice can result in some serious shoulder pain and injury. Please be aware of this. Again, I hope to look forward to a lighter 4oz model sometime soon.

I just got this after a friend said it helped him gain the power to do a one handed backhand shot. I strapped it on and although it was lighter than I thought it would be, I wouldn't want it to be any heavier after warming up with it after 4 minutes. It comes with some warm-up exercises but I just did my normal routine with it on my racquet.So far, I like it. I'll update my review after I use it for a whileUpdate:I use it most of the time I warm up. It's now part of my routine. I think it has helped me build up my swing speed. A win.

This products has a horrendous smell that made me throw up twice now! Absolute garbage and terrible quality. Don’t buy!!

Beautiful product. Good adhesion to racquet and the paw prints do not rub off with use. Wonderful for pet loving tennis enthusiast as myself.
