KRE-O Battleship U.S.S. Missouri Set (38977) with Bonus Alien Showdown

I bought this for my 13 year old son for his birthday after we toured the Wisconsin in Virginia and he displayed a great interest in it. I was disappointed that I couldn't find a Wisconsin for him, but he was excited about it and accepted the minor difference.He did not waste any time in going at it and enjoyed every minute of it. In under 2 days he was proudly displaying his finished product with minor alterations, which were needed b/c his little siblings were so interested they watched the whole process like a TV show but snatched a few pieces. He adapted well though and was happy with the process and the result.He said the pieces went and stayed together well, which was a surprise and relief b/c this was the first non-Lego brand that we've had a good experience with! With other brands usually the pieces won't stay in place and are of uneven quality. The boy reports these are good quality and were frustration free! That means we'll be looking into buying other products from this brand. The leading brand is WAY out of our price range, even used!The only thing my son did not like the was alien part of this, which I hadn't noticed when I bought it. Yeah, that's weird. He'd much rather have had some type of military vehicle included. I'm glad I didn't see that, b/c I wouldn't have bought it buyt I'm glad I did. He used the pieces that were for alien gear to make something military-style, so it wasn't a total waste, just weird.He enjoys the zodiac and guns that shoot. I just wish there was a way not to loose those. They shoot pretty well, but are hard to find once they are out of sight! Buy hey, what are you going to do?The one star I'm taking off is for the instructions, which are really an integral part of the toy. My son said other brands are much easier to follow b/c others have grayed out steps you've already done so it is easy to pick out on each new diagram which pieces you've already put on and which you are adding now. That is a huge deal in terms of the time it takes to do it and could be a serious deal breaker for children with visual, sensory, attentional, or intellectual disorders. My son dealt with it and with some frustration, but was jazzed enough about the end product that he was overall still thrilled with the gift, but he clearly considers that a huge drawback to this brand.Boy, I'll tell you, at the current price here this is a steal, especially if you compare to other sets.

Great set... Battleship, Aliens and lots of extra figures!!! Good quality and on par with Lego. Now while the price was right and the set is great the instructions and peices were a bit tough to start the build off with or else this would be 5 stars. Lego numbers the bags of parts to correspond with the point in the build process you are working on - Kre-0 add this and you will be at 5 stars! Other than that little ship builder nit pick this will have your little Navy man taking out the alien invaders in no time... it is well built and the little black boat is sea worthy... well tub worthy. If you want naval or other military vehicles for your lego enthusiast this is the company to go with as Lego will only do "generic" like things. They for some reason will not do military replicas.

For what I paid I was expecting something much smaller, when I received it it was massive. I bought it for my 5 year old, I know this is for older children or adults but he can build these by himself. (Although this time grandpa wanted to help) When it arrived he spent 5 hours with his grandpa building this. The result was amazing bonding time, distraction from electronics and a really neat ship. I'm very impressed with the quality of this product. Will be buying more of this brand again.

My son absolutely loved the KRE-O Battleship USS Missouri set he got for Christmas. The set was complex and fun and has so many working pieces that make it even better. So many sets you get look great on the outside but can't be played with very well on the inside. But that is not the case with this set. The battleship has guns, boat lifts, living quarters that are easy to get to, control towers etc. And on top of that you get the alien space ships, so it's like getting 3 sets all in one! You cannot go wrong purchasing this product. Forget Lego and their high prices. This set is high quality and even higher in fun and value.

This set is great!!! I knew it seemed like a good deal, but when my son opened it and began assembling on his birthday he was thrilled. So many pieces and details on the ship, plus all of the space accessories. The ship base is really fun for him to have to design his own ships on now. To buy sets like this from you-know-who name brand would have easily been $200+*caution, the set does ship in just its actual packaging, no box, so if it is a gift it will be given away*

Wow! I couldn't believe how cool this was when we recieved this in the mail. This was for my son's 7th Birthday and he LOVED it. Highly impressed with this product. My son loves legos and we will be purchasing future sets from this company because it's is decently priced with a lot of extras in each set. This was the first time ordering from Amazon and having to check the box that states "Ship in Amazon box" so I didn't much pay attention to that option (mainly because I've never had to) until the BIG box with a very well illustrated battle ship picture on the front was sitting on my front porch when me and my son came home that day. Luckly I was able to distract him to the side door without ruining the suprise! I will know better next time to check the "Ship in an Amazon box"!

My son loves it, but he needed his older brother to help build it. It took them a little over 3 hours to build since it contains over 700 pieces. The missiles shoot and 9 figures was great to have. The pieces fitted together perfectly like Legos and alien ships were a bonus. Just be prepared to spend a few hours with your child to build this.
