Evita: The Complete Motion Picture Music Soundtrack

This 2 set CD is very powerful indeed. Suer music, lyrics & I can listen to it all day! Actually the singing & voices are very good indeed! Wonderful soundtrack!

As expected

Good music.

I didn't know Madonna could sing so well. Certainly up to Andrew Lloyd Webber's songs. In fact all the cast sang well including Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Pryce. And I was pleased the soundtrack was faithful to the movie. I've bought other soundtracks where the quality was poor or the musical numbers were a mismatch, but that was not the case here.

I completely enjoy both the movie and soundtrack. In this situation, the German factory that made the discs mislabeled them. Disc 1 is labeled Disc 2 and vice versa. Otherwise, the mastering is well done. I will just be more careful buying CDs made in Europe. In 2 other situations, I had a missing disc (David Bowie box set missing Hunky Dory disc); or duplicated discs and missing a disc (Detroit music box set with two disc #2, missing disc #1).

My newest copy is in wide-screen format. The performances and music are, of course, the same, but it is still one of the very best musicals ever made - and I have seen hundreds to compare Evita to. This,Evita Peron,was an amazing woman because she bet the odds of her poverty in order to make a difference for the Argentine people.She helped the poorer section of her country,got the vote for women and strengthen the Unions by giving raises,social security benefits and other life necessaries.
