Good product & the company supports their warranty
I have used these in a high ceiling living space for 5 years and counting. They provide excellent high brightness, CRI and color balance. The company recently stood by their warranty, providing hassle free replacement of one bulb which developed an issue. CREE remains one of my go to choices whenever they offer a bulb that meets my needs.

Burned Out After 5 Months
Changing my review from one star to four. I submitted a claim on the Cree Lighting website and they sent a replacement bulb and a prepaid shipping label to return the burned out bulb.

Don't recommend
The brightness, etc was great. However, I am giving this a low rating because the bulbs only lasted approx 6 months or less. I bought 4, and after 6 months had to order again. After 6 months I ordered a different brand. The jury is still out on the new brand.

Didn't Last
I bought a total of 24 or 25 of these bulbs, some through Amazon and some elsewhere, a few months ago. They are very bright, and the light color is great. Unfortunately, about half have already died, and we're losing more by the day. I plan to return at least the dead ones under the warranty.

Worked great in my overhead kitchen lights.
Worked great and does not overheat and shut off. Same brilliance as existing lights.

20% burned in less than two months
I bought 14 bulbs about two months ago. Now 3 are dead... I was using a dimmer for LEDs and most of them were on the same circuit. Since I couldn't find any wiring issues, I believe the problem comes from the bulbs themself...

Pattern of poor lifetime.
I have purchased a number of these items - enough to establish that the actual life is much shorter than expected. I noted the most recent purchase of 2 items in August, 2019 from Amazon.. Today, in April 2020 one of those failed. I have had same problem with earlier purchases. Do not expect this product to have life as long as one year if operating most of the day. I just purchased one more bulb * giving this product the fairest chance possible.

Don't Recommend.
Bulb is supposed to last 22 years and has a 10 year warranty so I figured it would be pretty reliable, but buyer beware. I have had two of them go out in less than 6 months. Sure i could hassle with returning them to cree, pay shipping and get a bulb back as some time, but why bother if it's not reliable. I highly do not recommend.
