I was going on an extended vacation and expected to run into some rain and some heat. So versatility was key. I’m a little leery about buying a brand I’ve never heard of, so I went to Macy’s to try on some coats. Nothing there had the features I was looking for. The description of this coat sounded ideal and it turned out to be spot on. The removable fleece liner looks great on its own, but is super warm and comfy when zipped into the outer jacket. And, when all I needed was a wind breaker or rain coat, the outer was perfect. I also really appreciate the zip on/off hood. It’s adjustable so I can wear it with a hat underneath or not.The features, styling, fit, quality and value made me a very happy camper. I highly recommend it.

This is a two piece winter coat. The two pieces are distinct and fully severable. The inner core is a fleece zip up, that wears nicely by itself. The outer shell is water/wind proof. Put 'em together, and you have a pretty warm, weather proof winter coat. If you were inclined to ski, I think this would work for that purpose. If you like to walk around in the snow, again, this jacket would work. I probably wouldn't wear it to scale Everest, but that has at least as much to do with my economic status and fitness level. If you want to take the fleece core out and wear it as a fleece jacket in cool weather, again, the coat is up to the task. If you want to take the outer shell and wear it as a rain coat without the fleece warmth, you can do that. But for me, the shell by itself is a little baggy. The fleece by itself works. But the shell by itself is a bit big. Put 'em together, and it's a layered coat, and looks like a layered coat. It doesn't cast a svelte silhouette, but it's a winter coat, right? So, if you like a versatile coat, a two-in-one coat, and are ok not really wearing the shell by itself, then go for it.

I love this rain coat! Has a great liner that is comfortable and is easy to remove with the inside zipper and one loop over a button on the back on the lower neck. The raised collar is wonderful as it keeps you both dry and warm!This coat is actually rated with a "rain factor" that you can compare to other coats. The coat is supposed to be scratch resistant and also stain resistant. The scratch resistance is important for many raincoats lose their "rainproofness" if you run the exterior while the surface is wet. So this is another plus for this coat!The red color I purchased for this jacket is cool looking! I picked this color for eye appeal plus also safety as in my job I have to stand outside around traffic.The ONLY thing I DO NOT like about this jacket is the hood. I purchased an XL coat which fits perfect, but the hood seems a little small for this coat. One must use a good umbrella or else one's face would get pretty wet in rainy weather. I thought the hood would project from the face more than it does. Other than that, this seems to be an awesome coat!

I bought these jackets for my husband & I to take to Europe because of their versatility. They did not disappoint. From the top of Jungfaujoch glacier in Switzerland to a downpour in Cologne, Germany and New Years Eve in Paris, for 6 weeks this was our outer wear. Often times, we had the inner fleece out and wore long sleeve T-shirt or flannel shirt and was perfectly warm because the jackets blocked the wind and rain/mist.They were well constructed. Zippers moved fluidly. Love the breast zipper pocket because it was easy to slip a metro pass in & out. Side pockets were roomy & comfortably fit gloved hands, a phone, & room to spare.Once back home, these are still the rain jackets we grab when taking the dogs out or wear the fleece alone as a jacket.

I have a woman's version and, since my husband decided to borrow the outer jacket to run in the rain, I quickly ordered the man's version for him. He loves it.The jacket is perfectly made and amazingly convenient with an attractive inner liner, zip on hood, and several conveniently placed pockets. I especially like this particular style because it will be ok for business as well as sports.Since the fleece liner, which can be worn alone, zips in and out, the jacket is perfect for cool and cold weather as well as heavy rain. I just wish this brand made rain pants.

Took it to Alaska and was very glad I had it. It was great in both the rain and snow. I love having multiple layers and being able to quickly shed them is great. It also made drying them for the next use a breeze. I would definitely recommend this. Super comfortable and super useful. I am a big guy (6ft 340lbs) and finding a jacket that fits is hard. This is the one.

I bought a men's and women's jacket for a trip to Alaska in May. My husband and I both felt the jacket kept us warm and dry. It was a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am 5'11'' and about 205 lbs of dad bod. I ordered the XL so I could layer under it if needed. However, even with just a t-shirt and light hoodie, when I zipped it up all the way to see if it covered my chin and face comfortably, it was literally choking me. I understand you want it tight around the neckline so that cold air doesn't go down the front, but I don't need to be gagged by the jacket.The other problem, as some reviewers stated, is that the fleece inside is so "grippy" that you'll end up forcing your way into it. You have to hold on tight to the ends of your sweatshirt, long-sleeve, or thermal or they will ride up your arms. Once you're in, it doesn't end there as every time you bend you elbow, it grips your clothes again and makes them ride up.The great things are the fully adjustable hood length and cinches; I've had a few jackets where the hood just hung over my eyes... not this one. There is velcro at the base of the hood so you just slide it back to the desired length and then pull the strings and it is snug. However, the hood is not lined. It also has perfect waist cords to keep cold air from sneaking up your spine. So close to a really good jacket for the winter.
