IQ Sight Light

I did a lot of research before purchasing. The rheostat control allows you to go from the lowest setting to the brightest, which is 'light' years ahead of other lights that force you to a low/med/high setting. As a bow hunter the brightest settings never work for me. The low light setting on this one works fine. There is a positive stop between on and off. Many of the previous reviews said there was not. In addition, many said that it doesn't work when it arrives. Mine did not work either. You have to remove the three batteries and there is a small thin transparent plastic disc between the batteries preventing them from contacting during shipment or storage. Simply remove the three batteries, remove the transparent disc, and then reinstall. Everything works fine. The only thing I am unsure of is battery life but I rarely use it anyway. I might have it on for about 45 minutes in the morning or right towards the end of the day. I will be heading out this weekend and if I notice any battery issues I will repost.

This light was intended for use at early dawn and dusk while sitting inside a ground blind where exterior light isn't bright enough to naturally illuminate the fibers of the pins. Thus far, the adjustability of its intensity is good and it hasn't turned on while the bow has been transported in its case. I would not use this beyond the dim light conditions within a ground blind as it's too easy to miss or make a poor shot.

It works very well for the price. It works just as well as the more expensive ones.

I’ve always been looking for a sight light, however I never wanted to spend the $30 it cost to buy it directly from the company. This sight fits perfectly on the IQ sight and it illuminates the pins well. Curious to see how the waterproofing stands up in wet conditions, but overall a good purchase for the money.

The adapters that came along with the light did not have the right adapter. But I was too lazy to go through the process of returning it since the pandemic causing too many issues. I did try to contact the manufacturer to see if they can send me the 7/16-20 adapter, but they do not have any individual adapters. So instead of returning it, I came with a reasonable solution to the problem by using some blue thread locker and teflon tape to keep it in place. Works great and is not moving in my Shrewd Nomad scope. If you have a 5 pin or any other sight. it should work perfectly fine. Mine was just unfortunate to not have the right adapter. It is pretty darn bright compare to the reviews claims it is not bright and the light nob to turn it off and on is pretty eye to tell the difference, it may be a revision on my light. But you can feel when it turns off and when it turns on like a normal light switch or any sight light that I have used.

Just received the light, immediately replaced the batteries with new ones just purchased through Amazon. On time shipping in 1 day. It fit my 1st gen IQ sight great, but At first I couldn't get the light to work, frustrating yes, but then I remembered a previous review mentioned to take it apart and clean the LED leads by gently scraping the leads with a narrow blade and then using a Qtip with a dab of 90% isopropyl alcohol. BINGO! Works great now. Like how it can be set to a dim light or dialed up brighter. This is going to extend my time in the stand at sunset and help with low light 3D shooting. We'll see how the batteries hold up and the unit overall.If it wasn't for the cleaning recommendation, I would have been very disappointed and provided a much lower rating.

for the price of sight and place to install, IQ sights should have included it with original sight. Sight is really bright, in fact too bright for me. Wish there was a lower setting.

Arrived with dead batteries. The plastic battery barrier was intact but the batteries were dead. After replacing them it worked fine. The rheostat is smooth and the brightness is good. Would have rated higher if I didn't have to replace the batteries before using it.

Fit as described

Fit well. Easy to leave on in the bow, so be careful because batteries will die fast if on constantly. Over all a good product and lights up the sight pins very well. Turning on and off isn't the best (continuously spins) and wish it only turned so far to turn on. And then back to turn off. Other wise decent product

Exactly as described. Good quality and fits my IQ Micro perfectly. Only complaint that I could see is that there is no defined on/off on the switch which could drain the battery when left on by accident. I just took some white coloured nail polish and marked it as off.

It exceeded my expectations for a good price.
