Take Time for Your Life: A Personal Coach's 7-Step Program for Creating the Life You Want

Full of Good Ideas and Problem Solving Techniques.
Cheryl Richardson's "Take Time For Your Life" is a 7-step coaching book about living a more productive and fulfilling life. And, who wouldn't want that?? The entire basis that most people are enormously busy, stressed and cut off from "real life" is right on, and it doesn't make you feel like you're on your own. She recognizes that people have lives, busy lives but the focus of calming down, taking time, realizing what's really important and making a real plan for yourself can really help you be a happier and more fulfilled person.I'm not one for "mushy" feel-good books, but I certainly could see the merits in this book. She has practical ideas, steps and ideas for making your life a bit better. Listen, these kinds of books aren't going to "CHANGE" the world, but they might make you less anxious, worried and stressed. And, I certainly think that's a positive thing. Try it...it might help.

Helpful resource book
I had never heard of Ms. Richardson until a friend recommended this book. I bought it, began reading and immediately connected with her personal story and approach. She is reader friendly and offers seemingly endless lists and exercises to help us reduce stress, simplify and create balance. Some of Ms. Richardson's tips and suggestions resoundingly resonate a "Martha Stewart" style, which is at times cumbersome and a bit over-the-top with to-dos.I like referring to this book, either when I'm searching for another book or URL (she lists many resources at chapter ends, very useful!) or when I'm looking to create new ideas for my women's support group.Pie Dumas - Author & Life Coach

Practical, sensible, and clear
Richardson's book is packed with practical advice to get control of your life. In plain language, she offers suggestions for taking specific steps to be true to yourself, live with integrity, and see your own contribution to problems. I especially liked her test for the quality of your relationships and her tips on building community. "Community makes us whole," she says on page 185. Yes! A terrific book for people who want to grow and be all they can be. ~~Joan Mazza, author of DREAM BACK YOUR LIFE; DREAMING YOUR REAL SELF; WHO'S CRAZY ANYWAY? and 3 books in The Guided Journal Series with Writer's Digest Books.

This is always the best!
I love Cheryl Richardson, but I feel that this is the most comprehensive of her books on what drains you how to manage time, where to look for resources, I love the format the knowledge and the clear tips to helping yourself out of a financial, emotional, time management, organizational mess. Listen to her radio show too its great.

Well . . .
This was an assignment from a life coach and I was suppose to read the book. Frankly, I don't remember a thing she said and the tape has since went off to be re-purposed at the Good Will. I hope someone will benefit from the CD. Maybe I should have read the book! LOL
