The Nest Doorbell has very precise energy demands, so I took a gamble buying this, but I'm very glad I did! This C wire adapter 24 Volt Transformer is powering it successfully without fail.I've had this powering my Nest Doorbell for several months now, and not one power hiccup has occurred. It was the exact length I needed, so I didn't have to add or remove anything, which was a huge bonus in ease of use. The one recommended by Nest was too short. Even though this cable is longer than what Nest recommends, the voltage drop is small enough that it doesn't interfere with the operation of the Nest doorbell, even at maximum distance. Nice!I definitely recommend this product if the recommended one is too short for your install. It has been solid for me during these last several months.

Powered up a Nest thermostat to replace a Honeywell that some brain surgeon wired with 2-conductor 16-gauge Romex. As others have said, the wire with the white stripe (which is almost impossible to see unless you have 20/20 vision) must go to the Rc post, with the other going to Common.Also, unless you have tiny elf hands, the wire holders they send with this thing are useless - too small to work with.

Purchased this for my nest learning thermostat. I had two wires (red and white) from my oil burner that attaches to a thermostat. As a result you need additional power to charge the nest unit. Black wires plug into c and rc slot. White wire goes into w slot and the red wire stays unplugged. It's pretty easy to wire but getting the wire to the spit may be the only tuff part. This is my second 24v power supply because I shorted the first one. Some folks were saying you can also use a 24v transformer for doorbells at home depot or lowes.

The one I received looked used, looks like someone returned mine, and they resold it as new.The wires were all messed up. It works, no helpful info to guide you inside.But if you order this I guess you should know what you're doing.3stars buy it if you need power/c-wire for your thermostat like Nest. The wire is very long which you can't find else where as far as I know.

I replaced the existing thermostat, which was missing the C wire, with a new Next. Luckily I have an outlet exactly opposite the thermostat location, so it was a breeze to connect the Nest with the C wire, without cables visible.It's been on for months now, no problems at all.

I puarchased a Honeywell Smart Thermostat and being in a older home my existing thermostat did not have a C wire to supply power to the new thermostat so I ordered this 24 volt C wire adapter. For the price this item made it easy to have a C wire for power to the new thermostat. It was very easy to fish the wire through the wall so it was not exposed. I would recommend this item to anyone that needs a C wire to power a thermostat.

I used it to power a smart thermostat on a 2 wire system. It was easy to install, and is working fine.

Was able to power my Ecobee Smart Thermostat as expected. One lead of this adapter went into the RC terminal and the other went into the C terminal. As I have two separate units for heat and AC, I had to jump a cable from the RC to the RH terminal. Before doing this and only having the RH wire connected, only the heater would turn on. With RC and RH jumped together, things work as they should.
