I had been using the guitar cable that came in the box with my guitar. As a beginner, I figured it was good enough. But when I saw these cables and the price looked reasonable I thought I'd give it a go. What a difference it has made. The cheap bundled cable, it turns out, was little more than a RF antenna. Now, there is no noticeable noise, just the sound on my guitar. The shielding is so good. Also, these cables look and feel great. The connectors are gold plated, and though they look plastic, the upper part of the connectors are also metal. It feels very robust. If you have been using the cheap cable that came with your guitar, and you are thinking about going for something a little better, I recommend you do it. My playing is still sub par, but the guitar sounds better.

Connector design has a problem, threw it in the bin.
Immediately when I saw the 'custom designed' connectors, I thought something didn't look right. Why didn't Fender look at these connectors when they went from the drawing board to production??!!The narrow waist below the tip is unusually long and deep, I mean it looks really different and not good compared to other brands I use. The waist is more of a flattened U shape than a V. Also the start of the waist below the tip could have been closer, it's a bit too far away (by about 0.5mm) - to 'pull' the plug into the socket, which would keep it more snug. The actual tip's cone is too flat, which could damage the sprung connector in the socket, a deeper cone shape would give a gentler lift to the connector when inserting the plug. Fender look at these plugs please!!! Sure enough in many of my input sockets the connector feels a bit loose, more serious I'm getting regular disconnection on my electric guitar! - really bad design of the plugs.Shame as otherwise this could have been a good cable. There was so many plastic pull-ties and metal twist ties on the cable, and a card flap (which I tore) when it came, I couldn't really sent it back, so it went in the bin, can't trust it.Annoying a brand such as Fender can make such crap connectors - and even shout about them as being good. They are not. Just look at them - and compare to your existing connectors, if you dare even order this cable!/The Roland Instrument Cables - gold series, are better, the waist below the tip not too long or deep, more V shape, though the start of the tip could have been a tad closer - so as to 'pull' the connector more into the socket - and keep it more snug. The best connectors IMO are sill Neutrik. Just get cables with Neutrik connectors - they really are the best, mainly in the shape of the waist and the tip, and it's distance from the start of the plug, simple stuff, but only Neutrik seems to get it right!

Quiet and good looking, unlike its owner
I have several Fender guitar cables and I really like them, to the extent that I don't even look at other brands any more. They seem well shielded and sturdily built, plus they look great. Recommended.

Great Cable
Strong cable and well protected. I have had a Fender cable with similar claims before (about 15 years ago) and it ended up being almost impossible to unwind as it had a very hard plastic finish. It also kinked very easily and wanted to hold its coiled shape all the time. This tweed effect is really nice and it doesn't kink or hold its shape. It doesn't appear to colour tone (good range of bass through treble). Fit into the jacks is good and there doesn't appear to be any noise which is great.Overall very happy and would buy again. I'd also be tempted by longer lengths since it doesn't show signs of kinking.

Sturdy lead with solid sound
I was fed up with all my old crackly guitar leads and figured these should do the job. Bass and electro-acoustics sound great over Fishman pre-amp or FX. I'm very happy and my bro loved his for Christmas. If you peek under the sleeve, the high quality of finish is evident. Should last if well treated. I got exactly what I expected from the name, at a very reasonable cost. Out with those crunchy leads then....

Excellent quality and VFM
Bought to replace a Fender Professional Series cable which had a buckled plug within a couple of days of purchasing. This Deluxe Series cable is much higher quality. The tweed coating unravels easily and moves smoothly without coiling on the floor. It winds up easily and the attached cable tie is a useful and nice addition.Plugs fit firmly and the sound quality is excellent. Looks the business also.Would buy again.

Quality instrument cable.
This is a good quality instrument cable and worth paying the extra for. Prices do vary quite a lot depending on the colour and supplier so it is worth checking alternatives. I ordered direct from Amazon to try to ensure I received a genuine cable and I have no doubts that I did So far it has performed faultlessly providing a good clean sound and banishing the pops and static from the previous cable.

Huge difference!
I play a fender strat and have been using some cheap cable to play it through, never really thinking anything of it. I was dealing with a really loud hum/buzz when plugged into my amp so much so I was contemplating buying a noise reducer for about £70, but thought first I would try replacing my cable. So this cable has arrived and what do you know? No more humming or buzzing! I was gob smacked by how much of a difference it made just having a better quality cable. Also it looks really nice and feels sturdy, sound is great too. Can't stress how much difference a good cable makes, just one of those things all too often overlooked. Would highly recommend.
