What a difference - love it
This is a bit pricey for what it is but it’s well made, well packaged and very clear instructions for every option.Took about 5 mins to fit and connect to smart life app. By bedroom blinds now open in the mornings at time I have set and close at sunset automatically.Much easier to wake up when the blind opens and the room lights up.

Better than I thought it was going to be...
Bought this so that I could automate my home studio blackout roller blind as it's particularly hard to get to and the south facing sun can beam through making my computer displays hard to see at certain times of the day. This is a perfect solution. It was easy to physically install (excellent drilling template and tension is adjustable in the bracket) but a little tricky to get on my home WIFI as it's 2.4Ghz only and my phone (used to pair it through the Tuya app) was on 5Ghz... but once that was figured out it was on pretty quickly. Setting up the roller 'stop extents' was fairly simple too. My Amazon Echo can voice-control it. And I can also schedule it on the app which is simple to use.Downsides? Some have said it's noisy and slow... yes, but I wouldn't say excessively so. And it's a shame that you can't schedule the blind to open or close partially on the app - for example, to only open the blind half way at noon - although you can do this via Alexa (ask it to open the blind 50% and it will stop half way).Other than that, It seems well made and works well. Let's hope it lasts a decent lifetime. All in all... recommended.

Easy to Install and Does the Job. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
After doing much research I decided to buy the Ajax version of this automation. This product has amazing reviews and for good reason. It is easy to mount and assemble. It can work for virtually any blinds. It comes with instructions that make the pairing process easy to both the Smart Life APP and Smart Speakers like Alexa and Google Home. I was also happy with the prompt shipping. I ordered this product to be delivered to me here in Canada 🇨🇦 and it arrived in less than a week. There are only a few cons: the motor is loud, the actual hardware is bulky, it does NOT have a solar power option, only works with UK outlet (you will need an adapter if purchasing from Canada or the States) and it does not come with a double-side adhesive (only offers drill mounting option). Some of these cons can be innovatively fixed, I mounted the product with command strips and it seems to be staying on the wall with no complications. I got this so I could control my curtain with Alexa, you have to create a routine to have it open or close your curtains. In the routine I merely included some music for when the curtain opens, thus reducing the irritating noise made from the motor.Honestly, this is an amazing product. Maybe a bit pricy considering the noise, but from what I've been researching this is the most seamless and easy to use blinds/curtain opener on the market.

Easy to install and use, great addition to an automated home
I did a good bit of research for a blinds motor I could retrofit on my bedroom and decided to go for this one and I have not been disappointed! It is worth planning how you will install this before hand, in my case I realised it would be better if I changed the blinds chain mechanism to the other side (was on the left, moved it to the right) because then the motor would be closer to a mains socket and it would be easier to conceal the cable. Installation is super simple, especially if you are a DIYer, but if you're reading these reviews and looking to buy a product like this then you're most likely one.The instructions to set your upper and lower limits could be clearer, it took me a while to understand them and had to look it up online. Basically what you need to do is draw the blinds up to the highest setting you want, then once they're there press and hold the stop button until the lights flash, press the down button and let it lower the blinds and when it reaches your desired lowest point press the stop button, that's it!Configuring the blinds on the Smart Life app is very simple as well, I always configure my IoT devices in AP Mode as I find it much easier. If you already had Google Home linked to Smart Life then you will already be able to control the blinds through assistant.I have installed this motor on my bedroom's roman blinds which are fairly big at 183cm wide and 211cm high, the motor is able to cope with them fine, though a bit slower than I was expecting. It will close them in 1min 55 secs and open them in 2 mins.Lastly, the motor is reasonably quiet. At first I thought it wasn't when I first operated it and was right next to it, but then I realised that I couldn't hear it from the room next to mine or anywhere else in the house. Which wasn't the case when opening/closing the blinds manually, you could hear that all over the place! So that's a nice bonus.A couple of things I wish they had done better on the design:1. The plug for the power cable should be concealed inside the device so that it's easier to conceal with trunking etc (see attached pic)2. The power adapter has a led light that's green when in standby and red when the motor is working, this light is blindingly bright! I don't see the point of having this light there at all. I had to cover it with white pvc tape as it's in my bedroom close to my bed.
