Freya Aswynn has a very outspoken and vibrant style, with vocabulary and personal comments uncensored. This makes her books more adult-appropriate but also brings her personality into her writing, making for an enjoyable read of what could have been a dull scholarly subject. This is not the first of her books I have read, nor will it be the last!

Concise & expert teachings from the best teacher & practitioner in the field of Runes in the Northern Tradition.Plus her style of writing makes you feel like she is right there talking straight to you.

This book was OK, especially compared to a couple other pitiful examples I have acquired over the years. Freya Aswynn's NORTHERN MYSTERIES & MAGICK is just superb, though. It would be a 6-star, or 10, maybe.

This book is mostly based on the authors unverified personal gnosis about the runes and not any historical or literary evidence. There are much better rune books out there.
