I attached this bracket to a brick home with tap-cons and metal screws to stabilize a hand rail. Well made.

Poor quality control. I purchased a set of two of these months ago and recently bought two more, which were delivered about a week and a half ago. Upon opening the new order a couple days ago, I noticed that the part of the bracket that the railing would rest on is not square to the rest of the bracket, which means there's no way to install the railing straight/properly (see two brackets on right side in photo).This would not be such an issue if not for the fact that affordable stair parts states in their return policy that claims for defective items must be made within 48 hours of delivery. Serious?? The thing is defective-- what difference does it make if that defect is reported within 2 days or 10 days?? And to make matters worse, they charge a 20% restocking fee AND make me pay to ship their defective product back to them. Outrageous.Poor quality control. Poor quality. Poor customer service. Avoid at all costs. Period.

Looks great and easy to install

The brackets are nice. The included hardware is garbage. Buy new hardware before installing.

The bracket itself is good quality, looks good, and was exactly what I was looking for. However, the screw holes are 1.5” apart, meaning that you have to drill the screws in at an angle in order for both of them to hit the stud. Additionally, the screws are made with some of the softest metal I have ever seen - every screw I used was stripped even using minimal torque, and one of them even had its head pop completely off. Would have expected better from such a premium-priced item.

Product looks great and was easy to install. Does not come with directions but it is pretty self explanatory how it works.

It is impossible to tighten the allen bolt that stabilizes the handrail bracket without stripping out the threads or the head of the allen bolt. I ordered this bracket and then a replacement. On the first, the threads stripped out before I could tighten the allen bolt enough to stabilize the handle. On the second bracket, the allen bolt head stripped out. I was VERY careful the second time. This product is not designed well. Do not buy it.

I purchased these in December last year while renovating our house. I installed them in March, and today is June 29th. They were in use for only 4 months.I was about to walk down my stairs and as I placed my hand on the rail (very little weight) both of the fixtures snapped simultaneously, sending myself and the entire railing down. I have 2 toddlers who also happened to be playing in the area below me.As you can see in the photos, the part is VERY thin and is not made with quality material - easily visible at the breaking point.Please avoid this brand, for your safety and the safety of others.
