Gilded Tarot Royale Deck

I started out my tarot adventure with their original deck. These are lovely, the brilliance of each image is fantastic! The only thing is the sides are made well. I still love them!

I love these cards. They're beautiful and easy to shuffle. Nothing to complain about it. Perfect for tarot readings.

Standard deck: cups, pentacles, swords, and wands. Pretty artwork. Not the best box, but its better than some I own. Easy to use. Meant for all ages. They arent my favorite deck, but im still happy with the purchase. Recommend!!!

Very pretty deck but I'm not getting any messages that I need or want

I do not have the "regular" Gilded Tarot deck but I am (visually) familiar with it through looking it up and seeing it used in videos. But this "Royale" deck is f'ing fabulous! It is so beautiful! It is vibrant, so much detail on each card. So many colors, you can just tell how much effort went into the creation of each card, they're just beautiful. They are borderless, unlike the regular Gilded Tarot Deck. These go all the way to the edge, and then they only have the little label at the bottom of each card with its name. No colored gem at the top like the other one. I prefer this, so I'm totally happy with it. Shuffles like a dream! Super glossy and yet easy to shuffle. No cards sticking together right after opening them. Just glide-y and smooth. My favorite things are that 1) they started "talking" to me right away. Flipping out the cards that represented me and my energy, and what I was talking about. 2) the black and white little booklet that comes with it for the meanings is a pleasant surprise. Many times I've been very unimpressed with what they choose to put in them because either they're a farce for the real meaning, or they're just like overtly negative on some cards. That is not the case with this little booklet! It's got plenty of concise info and the meanings are right on point for how I've always read Tarot. and then 3) as I mentioned before, the shuffling is fabulous with these, especially if you like pliable cards, and like to have "fliers" or "jumpers." I like for the cards to jump out, and this deck and its slight slipperiness (and glossiness) is great for that. And despite my shuffling, which is not aggressive but also not super gentle, I haven't had any damaged edges yet! I know with other decks (ahem, Valentine's Fairy Tarot) that even on first use or shuffle, cards can start to get messed edges and all that, and these don't have that problem. Wooh hooh! I love them, they speak to me, and I would totally recommend them to a friend. ;)

Ive docked a star for the absolutely abhorrent thin card stock. I own a lot of decks and this is one of the worst for that. I can tell these cards are not gonna hold up well at all. Thats not CM's fault.... but as another reviewer said, i see why he went to US Games. Llewellyn used to be the de facto publishing house for this stuff, but apparently, they're cutting corners to increase profit margins. Im actually a digital artist (both 2d and 3d) and im currently making an oracle deck. If i eventually consider going the contract route, id definitely keep that in mind. The deck is otherwise lovely. Nice size (a bit shorter than standard tarot cards, but i dont mind coz i have small hands) The art is vibrant, tho, its a bit dated given the orig publishing was in the early 2000's. Its got an early digital art sort of nostalgia to it (pretty diff to his newer decks) I just love his art!! It has this cirque du soleil vibe to it. For the peeps complaining about the lack of gilding lmao gilded is referring to the images (and their original frame thats not in this version) not the card sides. Tbh, i couldnt care less about that, just gimme better stock quality.

Excellent deck by my favorite creator of tarot cards! Art work is outstanding and interesting. Color is vibrant, card stock is good. I've begun to collect decks designed by Ciro Marchetti as they are of such excellent quality and his symbolism speaks to me.

I love these cards. I am not a fan or the original artwork of the Rider-Waite deck but these have such rich colours and are slightly alternative in terms of artwork on them. I like that the cards are borderless so all full of rich, vibrant colour. The cards themselves are good quality and nice to use and shuffle. I was drawn to the rich colours and artwork of these cards so when they arrived and I opened the deck I am happy to say I was not disappointed with them at all. My only criticism would be the box, I would have liked a better, sturdier box for them and the deck also just has a basic small black and white booklet for guidance.

The artwork on these cards is gorgeous just as you would expect from Ciro Marchetti. I like these cards because they are borderless, shuffle well and are a great size. The box is flimsy and not what I was expecting but it keeps them together and protected. The guide book is very limited so I would not suggest these cards for a beginner.

It's absolutely lovely cards. Beautiful cards. Worth buying.
