2013-2017 Dodge Ram Diesel Billet Aluminum Fuel Cap Magnetic

Bought this to go on my 2014 RAM 3500 dually, and it's so much better then the cheesy little red plastic insert that the factory leaves in there, and that's if you are lucky enough to not have the dealer toss it during PDI. Luckily I had mine. But after about 18 months of use, it was starting to show signs of possibly not being around much longer.When I found these were being made by several different manufacturers, I choose this one based on other reviews and a recommendation in our RV owners group. It fits the fill port snugly enough to require a gentle push to get it in, and takes a gentle tug to remove. The gasket appears to be replaceable if required. The cap is also large enough at it's top flange to overhang the fill port a bit which I like in the case of possible water entry or maybe DEF splash when filling with bulk at a truck stop.Time will tell how it holds up against the abuse of being hit with various chemicals, water, and handling. 5 stars from me for now, and I'll probably update after I get some time and miles on it, which will happen pretty quickly in our travels.

As others have already said, it does not fit snug in my fill spout. I have a 2013 Ram 2500 diesel. I can put the cap in and wiggle it around. Mine did not come with a larger o-ring as some said, nor could I find one larger that would fit it. It sits in my spout and I have not had it bounce out but it IS LOOSE in the spout.UPDATE: I sent a message to FTG Motorsports and they had a larger O-ring sent to me quickly. I now fits the way I expected it to. Great costomer service on an excellent product. I love mine now!!!

Was a perfect fit in my 2016 Ram 3500 dually. No need to change the O-ring out. Like everyone else I got an email from FGT saying they would send a differnt sized o-ring if I had fit issues. No need. Fits snug as a bug. Goes in with ease and is removed with just the right amount of resistance that tells me I do not have to be concerned with it being rattled out. Quality material and looks great, looks way better then just having a fuel filler with no cap on it like something is missing. No reason not to recommend it if your interested.Edit: it's now been five or six months give or take since I purchased this and a week ago the O-ring broke. Not going to bother with trying to get a replacement from the company and will try and find one on my own. Knocked it down from 5 stars to 4 because the O-ring busted. Still gets my recommendation

RAM Diesels come with a light duty plastic 'plug' that is not secure enough for my liking. Bought this one of machined billet AL but wasn't sure it would fit behind the filler door - it does. And fits nicely in the filler neck as well. Not sure the magnet has anything to do with holding it in, but the o-ring seats it nicely. Still concerned some ya-hoo will put something in the tank, so will be looking for a locking filler door. This is perfect... I opened the door to install this after a rain... and there was drops of water on the flapper... just what this is supposed to prevent... When I received the product... the information said that if the cap fit is loose... not to worry as the manufacture has larger O-rings to take care of the manufacturing error in the truck.... of course mine is one of those that needs the larger O-ring and I've written them and am waiting...The other surprise was when I went to fill in OR... where someone must pump your fuel for you... the guy in the station said he's seen several of them.... there is a magnet so that you stick the cap to the inside of the fuel door and not loose it...

Best $25 dollars I ever spent. I love the magnet bottom. I just stick it on the inside of my fuel cap door until I'm done filling up, then re-insert it. I don't have a problem driving away leaving fuel caps behind, but if you do then this is a great bonus for you.My 2014 Dodge RAM came from Dodge with no fuel cap, just a spring loaded flap that is about a inch down inside the filler tube. Thus you have the "Potential" of water and / or debris getting in there. Then when you go to fuel up you have to either get the water or debris out (fun, fun, fun) or let it fall into your fuel tank (Not Fun, Not Fun, Not Fun).And that's only as long as the spring on the flap stays intact. When it breaks or loses its tension someday then water and debris will have the "Potential" to fall directly into your fuel tank.This cap eliminates all those "Potential" problems and I figured I'd get it now before it became a problem for me. Thus the best $25 I ever spent today to avoid the "Potential" spending of $100's of dollars later and possibly being stranded somewhere. Think of it as a one time or life time insurance policy, pay once and your done for life.

Fits perfect! I did not experience any issues with the o-ring's size. The cap itself is smaller than I expected, but when I opened the fuel door to install it, I realized that it was sized just right. Fits just snug enough to stay put and keep out dust and grime, but loose enough that it is easy to remove. Looks good, too!! I like it!Update: Seller contacted to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. That's not something you usually see from sellers on Amazon. Just a nice gesture and good customer service. It was appreciated and I would buy from them again without hesitation.

The first time I took my new truck with the ' capless' fuel filler to a car wash, it had been snowing. The truck was caked with ice and snow chunks that had to be pressure washed off by the employees before going through the automatic wash. In the course the pressure washing, water made it into my fuel tank (wonder how??, duh). The truck ran pretty d***n rough and took a couple of tanks with fuel additives to totally clear up. The design was idiotic to say the least. When I saw this cap, I jumped on it. The delivery time was okay, could have been better (to be fair, it was near Christmas). The cap itself is great. It fits snug, and provides great protection from water incursion. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.
