Perfect Jeans, Perfect Fit, Perfect Price.
I've looked everywhere for these. I had 1 pair years ago and lived then- wore them until they were threads.I LOVE that these come up to my belly button so my midriff bulge is more hidden. I love they are smooth to the touch. I love that they aren't still like regular jeans and bend and move easily with me. I love that the button hole is perfect size and easy to button because I have trouble with my hands. I love that they aren't saggy butt. Now that I have found them here, I WILL be ordering again. I didn't know they came in so many colors! Woohoo! No more old lady elastic waistband pants with gathers.

Not so frumpy mama now
The jeans fit this new mama perfectly. I’m currently 9 weeks postpartum and ordered these jeans in hopes that I wouldn’t feel like a frumpy mom when I go out with my family. The waist is pretty high which is nice because it currently holds in my belly. I’ll be ordering these again, hopefully in a smaller size after I attempt to lose the baby weight.

Dont Think This Style's Good for Petites/Shorts, Otherwise Nice
Im 5'5" a little over 35.5" in waist, 45" hips, 24" diameter thighs and 16" diameter legs/calves, no thigh gap. What drew me to these pants were that they were high waisted and on a lightning deal for like 20 bucks. I didnt think much about the cut beyond the waist but figured tapered legs would be attractive.I think the deal breaker for me is the style. They look kind of like straight legs on me, and since I have large thighs it's just more fabric than I want in the leg area. I dont like how the fabric bunches behind my knee and though this isn't entirely on the jeans I don't think they're doing my bum any favors.I did go a size larger than i probably should have with the 16, I just hated the idea of the top of the jeans pinching my stomach. I also got the regular instead of the short but I dont think the tapers sharp enough for the extra length to make a difference here, meaning to give shape to my legs.I think the taper's only really attractive if your thighs arent super disproportionate to your legs. Maybe like 2 or 3 inches max wider diameter in the thighs in relation to your calves. At least for the fit I want. I was gonna send these back in exchange for some 14's but I think I'll have to go with one of the other cuts to get the fit I'm looking for.Besides the fit I think these were a good buy for the price. Nice stretch and color. not as thick as some denim blends, a bit thicker than like denim leggings. Comfortable to move around in, liked fit at the waist. Better than most things you'd find between 20 - 30. If I had to recommend based on fabric and comfort vs leg fit I'd recommend.

Not what I expected.
I was very excited to receive these jeans because I figured the fit would be perfect because I had bought them at a local store in the dark wash. The Amanda Jean details were exactly what I had purchased so I believed that it would be a perfect fit. No way are these the same jeans. They are wide all around. NOT tapered at all. Almost 33 1/2 inches in length. So disappointed. Back they go.

Way better than I had expected
Usually I’ll buy some fashion nova jeans in a 15 for $30 and they’ll show up a little tight but stretch out in a few hours. Few months in they’ll tear at the thigh anti-gap lol. A coworker convinced me to get jeans at Target in July. Got 3 pairs of “Levi’s” in a 14 (because they’re stretchy) for like $40/ea. Literally wearing these things to work every day because that’s the only thing I can do through this apocalypse. Some how a pair of these garbage pants ripped in a month. A MONTH. So. I’m on amazon and I see these here bad boys on sale for $9 and I figure I should honestly just buy six pairs and call it a night. Just in case though I upped it to a size 16. If they run small, they’ll fit. If they run regular, I’ll wear a belt. Well guess what. They run regular. The delivery lady Just dropped them off and I pulled one on and these bad boys are so comfortable, but I ordered them big lol. Anyway, I’ll wear a belt to work. I got two pairs but I came back to buy two more, but the sale is over, sad day, but not that sad. They seem way sturdier than the ones on fashion nova AND these pants not only have 4 1/2 Real Pockets but I can also fit my entire hand in the front ones. Heck, I can fit a couple TV remotes in the front pockets. I’m definitely coming back, and even though the $9 sale is over, full price is still a steal compared to Target’s “Levi’s”For reference I’m about 5’5 and 197lbs this week but I’m kindof dense in the bones. A lot of my weight is butt, a lot of it is thighs...these jeans don’t quite do the butt justice but that’s definitely on me because I purposely ordered them too big haha if I figure out how to update this review, I’ll edit to add pictures when I buy the right size

Where are the great-fitting Amanda jeans of yesteryear?
First of all, this item, the Classic Fit Straight Leg Amanda is actually a tapered-leg jean so if you are expecting the straight leg, fit, it's not quite the same. The fit is as close to the original Chelsea Wash straight legs Amanda as I have found this year.Secondly, whatever has happened to the GV Amanda line of jeans? They used to fit beautifully, the Chelsea Wash had a lovely cut and weight to them with a little bit of stretch for movement, but mostly the fit was in the cut of the fabric, not in the stretch. Now, it's impossible to find that jean- everything Amanda is a thinner, flimsier fabric, and has too much spandex. The fit is now made by stretching the jeans around you, so they cling in a very unflattering way. Spandex stretches out while you are wearing it and stays stretched out, does not spring back. Eventually, these jeans begin to sag in the behind and waist, so after two hours of wearing, they aren't the same jeans you put on! I'm not sure what is going on with the seat- it doesn't fit like a pair of pants, it fits like those stretch jeggings that have no rear shaping and look saggy.And- the black pair I ordered had the higher waist, but the identical size indigos had a lower rise. A change of color should not be a change of styling...So, in sum- cheaper fabric, stretch but not that sharp fit Amandas used to have, and saggy after an hour or so.You will probably need to wash these a few times, then do some alternations to get a nicer fit. At least these aren't skinny legs- they do more or less fit like jeans.

Not what I ordered
I ordered 12 short but got 12 petite average. Fortunately they fit OK. I am American so knew what size to order. I LOVE Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. I own 12 pairs but have lost weight and needed a smaller size. I was VERY disappointed to find out they are 98% cotton and 2% Elastane INSTEAD of 73% Cotton, 25% Polyester, 2% Elastane as stated in the description . I knew from my pervious pairs the jeans without polyester wrinkle. I will keep them since they fit better than my old ones and will order more but send them back if they don't include polyester.

Jeans that fit women
They have a waist that is smaller than the hips. They aren't too tight round the posterior. They don't slip down and they wear well.I don't understand why this is so difficult to find in UK jeans but it is, even the really expensive ones. I usually buy some when I visit my daughter in Florida but obviously not to be this year.A word of warning to UK buyers - check your actual measurements before buying, US sizing is different. If there is a W after the size it means they are for the fuller figure. Usually if you're 18 in UK you'll be 16 in US.Still my favourite jeans!

Perfect fit
Perfect. I normally buy these in the USA. Being able to purchase through Amazon and get delivered to the UK is brilliant. These jeans are the best if you are a plus size as they stretch and fit in all the right places.

These jeans do not have tapered legs and look baggy
This product is well made and quite heavy duty but not what I expected as the description says “tapered legs” and the picture shows them as tapered and quite elegant. Maybe I got the wrong size and style sent. These are not my style and they did not fit well so I have returned them. As I’ve had to send them to Las Vegas USA I’m hoping the postage is refunded. I would use them for horse riding as they are of heavy material and would probably fit over boots.

Good quality but order a size down
Would have been happy if they fitted. Tried several times online to get a returns label but still waiting! Seems I'm stuck with a pair of jeans I can't wear because they are far bigger than other brands. Not impressed with service so won't be ordering from Amazon again.
