This works. All we need to know. Great for IVDD, cured my doxie's twisting spine injury.
We are fortunate in that my dachshund had a back injury that wasn't IVDD but was a twisting injury of her spine. I asked my vet about the L'il Back Bracer (LBB), and he said I should go for it, so I did. At first, to be honest, it was hell getting the LBB on my dachshund, who had suddenly turned into a rare 16-legged octopus when I first tried to put it on her. She helpfully does that with everything. But she finally realized I intended to persist, so she let me put it on her once, and all of a sudden that little missy changed her mind! It stabilized her back without casting so her twisting injury could heal. She wore it in the daytime for about two months, and one morning I noticed that her spine was straight, her walking was normal, and she wasn't in any pain whatsoever (she's prone to let me know that, thank goodness). I hope and pray we never have to use this again, but I'm definitely glad to have it on hand and paw, and I'm so, so thankful that this simple solution gave my Andi the help and healing she needed.I would recommend this for anyone with a dog with back problems, anything from a simple twisting injury to IVDD. It works for most dog breeds, as far as I can tell. If my doxie had IVDD and surgery had been recommended, I would definitely try this for a few weeks before doing that unless my dog was in pain.

Keeps my little buddy from losing his balance
The media could not be loaded. My 13(ish) year old little dog has hind limb weakness and he looses his balance. They aren't exactly sure what is causing it, but thw doctor said he doesn't seem to have any pain. He still wants to run and jump, but he stumbles.I wish I would have bought this sooner- I was somewhat skeptical whether it would work and as soon as I put it on him, I noticed a difference. After I took him outside the first time he wore it, he took off running and didn't fall down. It makes me so happy that he can run around and jump up on the couch without falling. It doesn't get in the way of him doing his business outside and appears to even make that easier for him because he doesn't lose his balance. It's expensive and I don't know how long it is going to hold up. I worry about the straps stretching out. He wears it all day and I take it off of him at bedtime.

Talk to your vet first
Item looks well made and instructions appeared to be very clear. However, before using I showed to my vet and they cautioned against using it for my dog's specific injury. Also, for reference the small size looks like it would easily fit both my 9 lb Klee Kai and 8 lb pomeranian-papillon pups.

Small too big, too flexible:(
This has so far been the best brace out of literally every back brace sold on Amazon. Unless there’s some deeply hidden, I’ve tried them all. However, it wasn’t as modifiable as the 2nd best, so I didn’t go with this one.The supportive bars on this are far too weak, so it’s not providing the same firm support as the Labra I’ve chosen to settle for. (Modifying the Labra so it can fit more comfortably). This one is really flexible. It’s too long, is mainly why I returned it instead of modifying it by replacing the support sticks (bars?).Small isn’t small enough. It’s also feeling brutal to remove it, where I need to use my teeth to lessen the likelihood of breaking all of my doggies bones in this process. I’m sure the Velcro weakens over time and then wouldn’t be causing a reason to need this brace even more than it’s already needed, but wow it felt brutal to rip it off.I love how the rear straps are so slim and not having any bulky rings or anything. That’s my favorite feature. I also appreciate the design overall, where it covers her upper back as well. Not limited to the mid spine, digging into her shoulder blades as some do.Another con - it would also slide off to the side all the time, where I needed to constantly straighten it by just pulling it back to align, which doesn’t work longer than a minute. And taking it off and back on tighter doesn’t work so there was no solution for this.If they made an extra small size, I’d try it again and replace the supports with stronger ones. Which sucks to have to modify expensive things, but It’s something I’m used to doing anyways. Can’t make everything to work for all beings I guess;)This injury has motivated me to just design my own braces for her. It’s hard with small pets and having multiple injuries.

This helps my elderly dog
I wish I could have gotten this sooner but didn't know this existed before. If your pup has spinal/back issues start sooner than later. My 14 yr old Shiba has advancing back issues. This brace isn't perfect because of how advanced the issues are BUT it definitely helps. My dog hunches and back cracks a lot and this corrects some of the curve in his spine and stabilizes. He is less wobbly when using (not perfectly) and he sometimes even tries to run with it on.He's a fluffy boy so keep in mind, you have to adjust the backside accordingly to make sure it's not tight around his legs. And the straps are finicky because of the fur and since I can't tighten too much the brace does slip around when I walk him with the leash attached so I have to adjust ever so often.I loosen it when he eats as well.He got used to it after day 2 and now even sleeps with it on. He does get hot with it on outside so be careful.

Not a great design for dogs
I first ordered a medium which was to small so I returned and ordered a large which was the correct size. The sizing directions should be more clear 🤷🏾♀️ My fur baby wears a large but according to his weight he should wear a medium. The brace design is horrible when it come to getting it on your fur baby and making sure it’s on correctly and fitting snug. After putting it on and taking it off a few times the Velcro becomes warn and the material becomes very very stretchy. I gave it a try but for us it did not work. As cyst further research I found one that is amazing.
