Backwards compatibility, big thumbs up.
Not all Chamberlain/Liftmaster remotes are universally programmable. I'm an old lady. Yea, old, 68 this year. If I can figure this mess out,so can you. I own a home with two older model Chamberlain Liftmaster Pro Formula 1 openers. PURPLE button. (That part is important) I did not know that. Now, we both do. I also have a shop, where I park my vehicles, with two new models on them. One unit was just installed a week or so ago on the big shop door. Both of these units have the YELLOW programming button. I'd read that the Chamberlain remotes were generally backwards compatible. And they ARE with one caviat. The color of the programming buttons. But I didn't know this at the time. So, I spent about half a day trying to get the new remotes to program with three of the doors, two at the shop, one at the house. I was lugging a ladder back and forth from the shop to the house and between bays in the shop while trying to program two with yellow buttons, one purple. After a great deal of frustration, searching, YouTube videos and downloading destructions, I was about ready to start throwing things and decided I'd have to use two remotes after all. Yes, colorful language was used at this point. Then, on a last ditch effort, I started researching the four different model numbers on my remotes I finally found instructions that said that the remotes that fit units with yellow buttons will not work with the purple ones UNLESS you have the 893MAX. I just happened to have one. So, I set out to program it to all the doors, and just like that BAM! Worked like a champ. I promptly ordered two more. Yes, they are compatible. Programming this remote to both the yellow and purple button units was quick and easy. Didn't give me any sass at all. I chose the Chamberlain brand, paid twice as much as the Chinese knock offs because after reading their reviews, I just didn't have enough fight left in me to fiddle with all the stuff others seemed to go through with the knock offs. I knew these would work. If you're trying to mix and match multiple units with different colored programming buttons, save yourself the frustration, bite the bullet and just buy these. Then, spend the rest of your day doing something that you enjoy instead of lugging a ladder around and cussing like I did.

Legit Liftmaster Remote
This is a real LiftMaster remote. I'm always worried about paying more for something that may not be legit but this remote connected flawlessly with our wall remote and works perfectly.

Great buy!! Easy to program!
I ordered these after buying a used garage door opener with no expectations that they would work. To my surprise, these worked amazingly, they were easy to program and the buttons are great. Overall it was a great value and well worth the money!

Works Great...Purchasing and Programming is Maddening
This remote works fine. Determining if it is the right one for your opener is an adventure. I finally went back on line to the original documentation for the LiftMaster model opener that I have and found part numbers for recommended replacement parts for openers. They listed two which helped. I played it safe and when with this one as I do not have three garages and a security gate. PROGRAMMING was far more difficult than it needed to be. There are 4 steps in the instructions. The sentence structures are too complex to be easily followed. And it seemed to me that one of these step was out of order!!!! I admit that I don't do this every day but com'on this is not rocket science. I was out there for an hour. I finally went on Youtube and found the right video and with those instructions successfully programmed this within a minute. I don't even want to waste the time trying to explain how messed up the instructions are. Throw them away and watch the video.

Top of the line Remote for Liftmaster Garage Door Openers
I have a garage door opener from around 2010, but I needed to be certain that any remote I acquire would be compatible with a current door opener systems. This certainly filled the need, being capable of interfacing with openers having a green, red/orange, purple, or yellow wire antenna. I have a Learn button that is partially hidden by a ceiling beam, so identifying the type of opener system had to be done using wire color. Programming the remote was simple using a simple button in the middle of the back. Once it was pressed, all one needs to do is press the large button on the left a certain number of times, followed by one of the two buttons on the right (which locks in the type of RF communication method used to signal the door opener). Getting the door to recognize the remote is done using time proven methods. An owner quickly presses the Learn button on the back of the garage door opener, followed by pressing and holding the open button of the remote. One or two relay clicks later, the garage door opener acknowledges that it has learned the code. Release the button on the remote. Next time it is pressed, the door should open. This setup process is as frustration-free as possible with modern electronic equipment. Pairing a bluetooth headset with a phone can be a nightmare by comparison. I am pleased to report that the battery inside the remote is a Duracell, which has the longest life of any lithium cell battery according to independent tests. The case seems to be sturdy, the buttons have a positive feel, and the transmission distance of the remote is at least one and a half to two car lengths. My previous remote was very finicky and weak, even with a new battery. With increasing crime rates, the last thing a consumer needs is an ancient remote that is slow to open a door. Do yourself a favor and purchase a new, reliable remote.

Works exactly as designed
I have a Liftmaster that came with the house, but it didn’t work using my phone to control it. I bought the MyQ device which helped but still couldn’t connect my lift master to my car without the remote. After purchasing this product, the process was so simple and very quick. I had no issues getting my car to start opening my garage. The only issue is that the product does feel very cheap, but I only needed it for my car so i just stored it away in case I need it in the future.
