Excellent Rogue Squadron Adventure
I had not read the X-Wing series before and was pleased that unabridged audiobooks were finally produced for the first four books in the series. I hope the rest of the series will be done as well. I enjoyed Rogue Squadron and Wedge's Gamble moreso, but this book was the best so far. Action, drama, politics, treachery and deceit abound. Rogue Squadron is a wonderful mix of characters who support and care for each other as well as fighting against the remnants of the Empire. This book has some of the best political background outside of Timothy Zhan and James Luceno books. The narrative fits so well, despite the different authors unlike the current canon and High Republic books which are mostly mediocre. After capturing Coruscant, Rogue Squadron must deal with the trial of one of their own, the death of another, a raging virus designed to decimate the non human population and political infighting. Wonderful character development and some villains getting what they deserved made this book really stand out. Marc Thompson's wonderful narration and character voices are always superb. Looking to wrap up this series with the Bacta War.

great Star Wars background story
the parts about the trial were meh, but I can see how they were important to the overall storyline. Otherwise, great book, fills-in information that's assumed, but not told in the mainline/core movies

The best of the X-Wing series so far
I am reading the X-Wing series in order and "Krytos Trap" is easily the best of the series so far. It is a huge improvement over "Rogue Squadron" and much better than "Wedge's Gamble."Dogfights take a back seat as plot development becomes more central. Here, we finally see more character development, a more believable storyline, better dialogue. I spent most of the book wondering what would happen to Tycho and how was Corran going to escape . . . and I cared!I still don't understand why people think Kirtan Loor is such a villain. He's more a buffoon now than ever before -- motivated only by self-preservation, not by some grand, evil scheme. In such a role, he plays it well.Although I've been told this book is part of a tetrology, "Krytos Trap" could easily be the end of a trilogy. I am not left dangling off a ledge, but there is more left that could be told. If "Rogue Squadron" did not impress you, hang in there! It does get better.

The Series is Back on Track With in the Third Book
Michael Stackpole's "X_Wing" series follows the adventures of Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron in the years following Return of the Jedi. "The Krytos Trap" is the third in the 4-book series that essentially tells one long story.Stackpole successfully blends a military feel, a stereotypical elite (and unconventional) military unit, and the Star Wars universe to create an interesting and worthy addition to the Star Wars universe. Although occasionally some of the "big names" from Star Wars make an appearance or are mentioned, this series focuses on the pilots in Rogue Squadron."The Krytos Trap" picks up immediately where "Wedge's Gamble" leaves off. However, because Rogue Squadron is back in its X-Wings and no longer operating unrealistically as commandos on Coruscant, this book is much truer to the first book. The book is filled with galactic intrigue and politics, a court-martial that ends a bit too dramatically, an evil plan to foil the former Rebels, and exciting outer space combat.Stackpole's third book in the X-Wing series is an improvement over the second book. It returns the story back to outer space and leads to the exciting conclusion in the fourth book.

Enjoyable, but difficult to read
I'm roughly two-thirds done with the book, and as with Rogue Squadron and Wedge's Gamble, the book has been enjoyable. During the dogfights, I find that Mr. Stackpole gets a little too much into the technical details of describing the fights, but at the same time, it's somewhat required of those sorts of scenes. The most disappointing thing when reading this book is that I'm reading the Kindle version and the OCR scan (optical character recognition) was not run through any sort of spell check or editing process. There were a few in the first two books of the series, but this one is just loaded down, really burdened by them, taking me out of the story to try and decipher what was originally written. I'm sure it's too late now for the publisher to spend the time and money on such a thing, but it's something that should be done for any future Kindle releases of books originally produced prior to eReaders.

Good service fast
The book listing was exactly what I received and got to me in a timely fashion. I paid a fare price for a good product and would happily buy from this person again.

Notevole passo indietro
Dopo un avvincente secondo capitolo (Wedge's Gamble), la serie di romanzi X-Wing torna ad arenarsi sull'ormai ben nota meccanica guardie&ladri che condanna Star Wars a perdere molto del suo fascino. Difficile farsi rapire.

What a ride
What a ride.Dogfights, old friends reunited and some new friends parted. That was an emotional rollercoaster and I just loved it. I want more and I will get more. That would have been some great sequel movies...

The Krytos Trap is a damn good book. Pace is awesome
The Krytos Trap is a damn good book. Pace is awesome, tone is perfect Star Wars, heroes are fun and likable, villains are clever and understandable. Stackpole's X-Wing novels are perfect introductions to Star Wars' old expanded universe, full of campy thrills and hilarious wish fulfillment, with heroes shooting as many catchphrases as they do blaster bolts. Krytos Trap spreads itself a little too thin in the plot department, relying heavily on some last minute asspulls that I don't recall the previous two books needing. Honestly though, if you're here for a realistic account of combating bio-terrorism, look elsewhere. If you're here for Nawara Ven: Ace Attorney, settle in.

Bien pero con algo menos de lucha espacial
Sigue lo narrado en los libros previos de x wing, oeri en este caso la acción es algo más tipo comandos e infiltración que batallas espaciales. Pero totalmente recomendable si te gustaron los anteriores.

Typos
The book is fine. Haven't finished it yet. This is regarding the quality of the E-book which is horrendous. One typo I could understand but this version is basically full of them. One example of the many is when pilots are returning to "reakspace". It's like the book was written by a teenager on his smartphone. One star for the quality of the ebook.
