Not bad at all. I got this to replace the pulley belt on my Harbor Freight belt sander.I just removed the old belt and installed the new. If anyone has the same application, the old belt is a standard non-grooved V-belt. Like all things imported, the belt was probably low quality to begin with, but it lasted about 3 years of every-day use. Yes, every-day use, maybe minus a weekend here and there. I just got this belt so it's hard to tell if this belt will last over 3 years... maybe 5 (?), or not. We'll have to see.The old belt had rotted in at least three parts, which could attribute to the excessive noise. I can't remember if it was that loud when I first got the belt sander, but the only way to really find out is to either buy a new belt sander, fresh from the box, or get a standard non-grooved V-belt and try it out. I'll leave that test for someone who wants the challenge. As far as I can say, this belt may be a little more quieter than the old belt, but again, that may have been do to the cracks in the old belt, or the stiffness from heat cycles over the years. Nonetheless, the sound is not as SMOOTH as a standard V-belt. The grooves definitely give it a different sound profile, like off-road tires on the freeway sort of thing. The end result should not sound quality, although sound quality affects the overall work environment/atmosphere, but the real important factor is longevity. It seems like a solidly built belt, and I hope it lasts as long as it looks.If it snaps inside 3 years, I'll definitely be knocking this belt down to 1-star, since it would not have lasted longer than the import belt. Just judging outwardly by the build, it looks like it will last a long time.

Very happy with this belt. Mice at the belt on a 2007 Billy Goat Leaf Vacuum I have and the list price from a dealership was $20 + $12 shipping. This was less than 8.My Leaf Vacuum is model number TDK512SP and uses belt part number 890586, which is a 4L220To find your belt dimension go to Billy Goat's website, download your instruction manual and check the description in the parts list. Search and you should get the correct one. On mine the belt size is a 4L220 and cogged is kinda hard to find. I only found this one form Continental and another from Goodyear. Amazon has lots of off brand belts but I rather pay a few bucks more for a brand name that will hopefully last. Usually I buy Rotary for my lawn equipment but I couldn't find a rotary branded belt this size that was cogged and since the one pulley was pretty small I wanted to stay with what the manufacturer did.

This belt is really smooth running and perfect for my drill press with a small pulley diameter. Get it if you want QUALITY ! No Chinese junk here!

Belt-drive whole house fan. Previous belt lasted only 3 years; literally, chunks of rubber fell out.This belt appears recently manufactured, and since it's cogged, hopefully won't suffer from same "chunky" fate, due to drive-side small radius pulley. Fingers crossed; Time will tell.

I've been dealing with a squealing belt on my 1999 Frontier for a year and a half. Napa has sold me three different belts that would work for a couple weeks then squeal again. They finally said the problem was with my alternator alignment... then I bought this belt. It's wider and slightly smaller than the belts Napa was selling me, and with this belt I have not had any squealing since.

Works great, fits on my 10ER Shopsmith perfectly and is much quieter

good v belt replacing my old one on my bench saw the only thing it says 42 inch long but in fact it is a 49 inch long i will have to use my old belt if i need to set my blade to 45 .
