The desk looks great and are very well built. My only issue was that they did not offer a wall mounting option for 24 inch on center, the holes worked perfectly for 16 in on center for the studs. I made some slight modifications to the top mounting bracket and was able to mount on the wall with no further issues. I noticed that the bottom of the desk when pulling it open, would pull away from the wall. I wish they would have offered a four corner mounting option to make the desk as sturdy as possible when mounted on the wall. That was the other thing I modified on the bottom of the desk. I drilled a 45 degree angled hole on the bottom plank centered to the stud and threaded a deck screw from the bottom on each side and the problem was fixed the desk look gorgeous and are firmly secured to the wall. Great buy would definitely recommend. **Please be aware that the chalkboard feature is not good quality, we have chalkboard markers (the package for the markers state they can be used on chalkboards, windows, mirrors, ceramics, and glass) and it will not come off of the "chalkboard" area of this desk. In order to fix the issue we will be looking into applying a layer of chalkboard paint on it. The texture of the "chalkboard" area really does not seem to consist of quality chalkboard paint/materials.

Was great for 4 months until my 7 year old was doing his homework and suddenly it fell off the wall and slammed to the ground breaking the hinges and scratching my wood floors. We installed to the stud. Just cheap material. Before it fell I had started noticing the bottom corner screws were coming loose and tried to screw them back in but the hole was stripped so they wouldn’t stay. Great design concept just bad materials.

I don't expect a lot from cheap prefab furniture so I will say that this piece of furniture did accomplish what I was seeking. I wanted a hideaway desk to help conserve space in my apartment while providing some additional workspace without spending a fortune and this does exactly that. That said, here are a list of improvements I made and would suggest to anyone with or without toddlers that were vikings in their past life. • Replace the wall mounting hardware with something more substantial. The pre-drilled holes worked for me because I have 16" OC studs but I replaced the provided screws with thicker ones. • Add a couple pieces of 1X1 wood (I used some scrap wood) just underneath the unit on each stud to help relieve the strain on the wall mount screws up top. Screw these into the wall on the studs and up into the bottom of the unit so it keeps it secure to the wall. • Replace the provided hook latch with something else. I am getting a 4 pack of toggle latch clamps for $10 to install both where the hook latch was meant to go in addition to the bottom of the chalkboard (this was for the toddler). The hinges did not allow the bottom of the chalkboard to sit flush which enticed my little one to try to pry open the table from the bottom (If you have no toddlers then you can likely skip the latter but I would still replace the hook latch because it is garbage). • The final modification I made was to drill out a hole in the bottom so I could install a cube shaped power strip with standard outlets and USB ports because I would more than likely need something for a laptop and did not want words dangling under my feet. I did the with a 1" spade bit on my cordless drill to allow room for the plug to passthrough and I am pretty happy with the result.

I love this cabinet and use as and extra craft table in my office but grab a buddy to help assemble and mount it! Due to its weight and how it opens up you, will need an extra hand around. I'd say putting the cabinet together was fairly easy but mounting it was tricky. It comes with hardware but I highly recommend buying upgrades from what's provided. I also recommend drilling 2 extra holes on the inside corners at the bottom for extra security. We followed all the instructions to a T and used what they provided to mount but when you fold the table down to use after everything was complete, it would pull from the wall at the bottom if you weren't extremely careful. This puts alot of stress on the top screws so to avoid having this come crashing down, we drilled an extra hole in each bottom corner and secured each with a other anchor and screw. After doing so, I am able to fold it up and down without any worry and it looks great!

I dont normally write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so on this item. I wanted to provide a warning/heads up for anyone considering this purchase. Firstly, it looks great, and it's a perfect desk for a small space. In that aspect, it works perfectly for me. The issues are: 1) the directions are absolutely horrible. Pieces aren't numbered, and I had to keep watching the video dozens of times to make accurate guesses as to what part I should be screwing together. I had to redo things at least 5 times. 2) Everything except the particle board is cheap...extremely cheap. The clasp that holds the desk shut feels like aluminum foil. I had screw heads literally rip right off from just screwing them in pre-made holes, and the desk doesn't collapse all the way. Which leads me to: 3) be ready to buy some of your own hardware. I had to get new screws to replace the ones that ripped apart. I bought a new latch from the hardware store to actually keep the thing closed, and I had to buy a new pack of anchor bolts because I honestly didn't trust the two that came with the set. Also, I added two more anchor bolts to the bottom shelves because I didn't want to rip the desk off the wall when converting it. All in all, once I've made the necessary upgrades, the desk is secure, sturdy, and beautiful. Again, just know going into this that you'll probably have to fix these issues on your own.

This is the worst! The hardware is flimsy and mismatched, the instructions are mixed up and mis-labeled, and the pieces don’t fit together. After over three hours putting this together (some of that time was spent cutting down the backing board so it would fit in the grooves) we discovered the hinges were reversed (due to another mistake in the instructions). When we opened it to fix them, the entire desk basically busted into pieces. Unfortunately, I didn’t assemble this during the return window and the whole thing ended up in the dumpster. What a waste!

Great desk perfect size for a cramped room hardly takes up any room. A bit hard to mount the easiest way to mount is put it together first and then have someone else hold it up in place the bottom piece open. Otherwise it’s a great desk ! Looks very modern

This is now in it's second house. It made the trip easily and was mounted again successfully! Easy to fold up out of the way!

Meuble un peu fragile mais super pratique. Il est installé depuis quelques mois et il tient et fait le travail. Mon fils s'en sert pour ses devoirs tous les jours. C'est une bonne solution pour les petites pièces. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Satisfaite.

Buy new hardware. From the latch, to the hinges, and even the ugly hooks. They are very flimsy and while we are still using the hinges, we replaced the latch, the mounting screws and forgone the hooks for now. Its sturdy and once it's in the studs it secure... evm in my 11 yr olds room. We paired it with 2 folding stools and works great. Haven't tried the chalkboard yet. Will prep it first with a good layer of chalk dust, which is a necessity for any chalk board paint or paper anyway. Would prefer it to be a metal so we could use as a magnet board and will look into a paint for that in the future. This also does not have a hole in the casing for cords. So you can no route your charger into the box for easy storage

C'est mon bureau de tous les jours. Honnêtement il faut de la patience pour le monter mais très facile à fixer au mur. Par contre, ne pas utiliser les visses comprises avec, en acheter des bien plus longues. Et le fixer à plus d'endroits que prévu au mur. Une fois ceci fait, tres solide, ne bouge pas. Se déménage très bien aussi!!! Beaucoup de rangement. Sincèrement, je l'adore. J'avais le choix de macheter 1 autre bureau à mon déménagement mais je voulais garder celui ci. Je l'adore

I liked it so much that I ignored the low star reviews. Excellent idea but poor quality, the hinges anyway. It broke when I installed it. It can't be used for small children as it is very fragile and closes with the slightest movement. The problem is that the hinges tell you how to put it on and it is not the correct way. Be careful with that. The assembly was followed according to the guide. Me gusto tanto que no hice caso a las reseñas de bajas estrellas, exelente idea pero pesima calidad, las bisagras en fin. Se rompió al instaralo no es pieda servir para niños pequeños ya que es muy fragil y se cierra al minimo movimiento. El problema es que en las bisagras te indica como ponerlo y no es la manera correcta cuidado con eso. Se siguio el armado segun la guia
