Dear sir,The poling pads are mainly use for polishing Granite, Concrete, Marble, Stone and etc, you need other tools to grind down .thanks.

Q: Would this be ok to use with an orbital sander to smooth out the lip of a concrete pot?

I used them on a disc sander, not a random orbital but i don’t see why you couldn’t. You do need to keep the surface wet though so be careful
