It is OK for cooling. However problem starts during winter. In heating mode there is irratic fan speed. Sometimes at very low speed it whines. In some cases there is a whirring noise. Upon opening up the case I have found box for PCB shakes and rattles, not desgined well to hold the pcb. It also appears that relay chatters to control low fan speed.update: put a neoprin foam between pcb box and blower man housing. and used tape for pcb box cover so it rattle less.

Installation was rather easy however, my unit did not come with the refrigerant lines or electrical leads. So, I had to make my own. I relied on youtube videos to do the installation with homemade installation kit. This was enough information to successfully install my unit. I did need a few specialty tools. First, I purchased a vacuum pump from Harbor Freight for $90. Second, I purchased a set of vacuum gauges for use with the pump- about $60. Third, a $15 adapter for attaching vacuum gauge to unit. The youtube videos explain this adapter and how to set up the vacuum pump to clear the refrigerant lines prior to charging with Freon. I purchased the missing coper lines to make the line set from Lowes and used a flare tool to form the flare fittings to the unit. Again- all covered in a varitety of videos on youtube.
