It's important you know how to use this stuff
I'm new to growing anything so the idea of how to use multi-part fertilisers is a black art to me. I had no real idea what I was buying, but the reviews for the product here and on other sites (chilli growers) highly recommend it, so I thought I'd give it a go.I assumed just use the bottle labelled for the stage of the growth stage your plants are in......nope. The way it works is that you use all three bottles at once, in varying ratios depending on the growth stage. So more 'grow' in the vegetative stage and less 'bloom', and vice versa in the flowering stage. The micro bottle is for the micro nutrients and used throughout the whole life cycle. There is a chart on the side of the bottles which shows what the proportions should be in ml per L. Other charts are available on line and specific to your method of growing an growing medium e.g. soil, coco, hydroponic etc.Whilst this sounds straight forward, and it is, the really important point to note is that you should keep the content of the three bottles completely separate from each other. You add the required amount of the 'micro' bottle to the full amount of water you are using and mix to combine well. Then you go onto the next bottle and do the same thing, mixing e.g. the 'grow' into the same water, mixing well before adding the 'bloom'. You need to make sure that the measuring cup/pipette or whatever is clean before you put it into the next bottle. I'm not sure why, but all the info I've read online and seen on Youtube says the same thing, so I can only imagine that it upsets the way the chemicals work if introduced to each other neat.It was also not clear from the instruction on the bottle (to my simple mind at least) that you are putting the nutrients into the same water e.g. if you are using a ratio of 2.5ml/1L of each bottle, that's 7.5ml going into your 1L of water, not 7.5ml into 3L of water. Hope this makes sense.Time will tell how well it will work, but it seems like a great way of balancing nutrients to growth stage....once you understand the methodology.
