No chicken in the bacon flavor!
I get the bacon flavor because there is no chicken in it! Not many out there that don’t. I will be straight up and say my boys won’t eat it but i use it to bind all their pills together so they get it in one go. They are super picky eaters anyway. Texture is usually good though now and then its a little drier than I’d like but still works fine.

Magic!!!
My dog takes 7 pills a day, it has become a nightmare. As soon as she realizes a pill is inside the “treat” she spits out the pill and literally gags. We have gone through, butter, cheese, ham, turkey, chicken, peanut butter, cream cheese, roast beef, yogurt, pill pockets and so many more! We even had to give it to her on a plate to make it look like it was OUR food. Most of the treats/bully bones we purchase for our dog are from Amazon, so while I was looking for the perfect disguise for her plethora of medications I stumbled upon this putty stuff. I have never tried something like this before, and In all honesty most of our failures were due our crazy pup eating the meat off a pill and spitting the pill out. I thought this would be harder for her to get the pill out. I chose the bacon flavor and tapped the “order now “ button I received my order 2 days later and wanted to check it out. The “stuff “ was dark brown and felt like play doh, the smell was kind of like a hickory scent. I was so curious to see how my pup would react to the putty like substance. I rolled a small amount into s ball, the smell must have hit her in the face because she came running! That was great and all but the real test will come soon enough. Time for bed! This is when she takes the bulk amount of her pills a day so it makes for a GREAT way to end a long day! I individually roll each of the 5 pills into s ball and put them on a plate. Ummm ok she inhaled everything on that plate! Ok so it worked once, let’s see if she takes her pills tomorrow. This dog has taken every single pill for the past 1 2/2 months with only using this one product. It truly is magic! The bacon flavor is a bit more expensive then the cheese and bacon so I decided to order both in my next order. The finicky dog only wanted the bacon, but that’s fine. My only complaint is that I go through 1 container about every 2 weeks. So is it worth it you ask?! ABSOLUTELY, this has saved my sanity and my marriage, We were constant arguing about who isn’t giving the pill correctly, roll it like this! She likes it like that! No you’re doing it wrong! Let me try! We were going crazy! So, if you have a dog who needs to take medication daily you know the pain! Run don’t walk, it really is magic, it makes those pills disappear

Liked it once but not again
I have a finicky and very smart shitzu who needs to take 9 pills a day. 4per dose-2x daily. I have tried everything to hide the capsules. I even have the pills formulated at a special pharmacy into capsule form so they don’t smell. I was excited to hear the good reviews that this paste would work The first time I tried it it was very easy to wrap the Play-Doh type texture around the capsule and small enough for my 13 pound Shih Tzu swallow He took all four right away. But since then, it only worked one time and now he doesn’t like it, and won’t touch it even without the capsule in it I’m not sure what happened, but he just does not like the flavor even without the capsule or any pill. Very disappointed spent $11 on this and can’t return it now I was even gonna consider exchanging it for a different flavor, but I don’t have that as an option and I don’t want to spend more money on another flavor and not be able to exchange it.

This stuff is perfect! My dog was able to sniff out normal greenies pill pockets and eat around them but these mold to the pill a lot better and stink a lot more so she can’t smell the medicine. You can use as much or as little as you need depending on pill size. It comes with a decent amount but I use it up pretty fast still- definitely a constant restock

Crumbly
This bacon version is crumbly. I’ve been using this and another brand of pill dough/paste for a while now. This is the first time I bought the bacon flavor from this brand. I won’t buy this flavor again. The bacon and cheese version is smooth, I’ll go back to that or the other brand I use. This still gets the job done, but not as effectively. It’s messy and crumbly, and just isn’t right. My dog likes the taste, but it’s a pain for me.

Pill size, simple, works
I have used this for two sized pills. First size is the claritin size so its a very small pill, I lightly wrap it in the substance and roll it in my palm to the size of a pea. Dog just swallows it, 4 pills gone quick and easy. The second size pill was an antibiotic so this one was about 4 times the size as the first pill (multivitamin size). I tried lots of substance to wrap it, but he chewed it which resulted in him dropping it a few times. I would suggest with large pills to wrap it as light as you can to make it as small as you can so it is less likely they will chew it. After lightly covering the larger second sized pill he took it much quicker and was less likely to chew it, although it still happened a few times, I simply picked it up, rolled a little more on the opened capsule/chewed area and he quickly swallowed it. All in all it was very effective vs trying to hide it in peanut butter or a hotdog. Since I have used small amounts over the month, there is a lot left in the jar and it has stayed soft and pliable and has not hardened at all.

Bacon Flavor is Crumbly
I love Wrap-a-Pill! It's the only thing I can use to get my dog's to take pills. I've tried the bacon flavor numerous times but I think I'm going to stop buying this flavor. It's usually so dry it almost crumbles and that makes it harder to get around any pill or capsule. It's really unfortunate because I like to change up the flavor so they don't get too bored with it and do wanting to take their meds. There's no doubt I'll continue to buy the other flavors. I'll even mix them together to change up the flavor. They have always loved this stuff and think it's a great treat. I may try the bacon flavor sometime in the future to see if they've improved the moisture content but it'll be a while.

Excellent for giving tablets to dogs. Highly recommended
The best pill giving aid on the market. My dogs love the flavour. I’ve never had a problem giving tablets using this paste. Bonus is that it is gluten free which is great for dogs with seizures. Medication can be made up weekly and popped into dosette boxes and the paste will not dry out. Ideal if taking medication on holiday or leaving medication for a care-giver to administer.

Impresionante

cheaper than pill pockets
Our greyhound is on long term medication of 3 capsules a day. She can be quite "sniffy" about her food. Using a small amount of paste and rolling the pill / capsule in the paste in the palm of the hand to form a coating that then looks like a small olive - works a treat, just put the "olive" in with the main food in a bowl, not fired down the throat. Let the dog scoop it up, but don't let it get too wet otherwise it just rolls around in the mouth. At the end of last year is was not available on Amazon or anywhere. I even wrote to the company and the manufacturer in USA in despair. The alternative would be a D.I.Y. paste with peanut paste - very messy and hard to store, or, use commercial pill pockets - they are very expensive for long term with more multiple medications. To get the best scoop amount I searched the internet and the best metal scoop was a Danish salt spoon (Ib Laursen Metal Salt Spoon ) as being only 5.5cm long it fits snugly into the lid of the container - so easy to use and store. Other means of delivering medications are available but for me, the wrap a pill is essential, as the "olives" as above are easily added to her food at a meal time, not separate. I am so glad that wrap a pill exists and is once more back on Amazon.

Made my dog wretch
my boy hates taking tablets and spits them out. I could have them in anything and he would spit them out. However, when he went to the Vets they used a little pill treat similar to this which he wolf down. I believe it was supposed to be a cat, but he absolutely loved it and would happily then take his tablets. Unfortunately, these contain too much fat for his diet so I was on the lookout for low fat Pill hiding treats. I would say these are very expensive. But it did seem to cover the tablet. However, my boy tasted this and was making retching noises before I even put a tablet in it. Every time I would get it out of the cupboard, he would run away and hide his head. There is no way that he would eat this treat to be honest it did smell very chemically like synthetic bacon. I don’t know how others have got on with this, but my dog really really did not like it and he’s not that fussy with food, especially bacon.
