Starter arrived a couple of days earlier than expected,Perfect fit and works great!!! Went out fishing this morning and everything performs great!! Starts easier and cranks faster!! Great deal,, will buy from them again!!!

All around great product for the Mercury Mariner outboard motor. This is not a rebuilt starter it came with a new solid steel case, all new sealed interior parts, very solid and well built, also dependable product. We also had a small shipping discrepancy with the order at first coming through Fed Ex but the issue was quickly and professionally resolved by the company. And delivered the next day from the time of the complaint so I am very pleased to report the great customer service that the company showed in resolving the shipping issue as well as very happy with the speed in resolving the issue with the shipper. I gladly now will refer and promote this company and there starters as a great all around product and absolute perfect O.E.M. part for the outboard motor. Bought this starter for my outboard motor. Worked fine for the first few days after installing, took out to lake and it left me stranded. Wouldn’t turn motor over. Took shroud off and found that the top nut, spring retainer and spring fell off starter shaft. $70 to have 3 minutes of fun.. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!

My first boat, so I don't know what year, SN, or any other information on the engine other than it's old and says MARINER right on it.We had to tap the starter to get the engine to start (even though it said right on it not to do so... put a button on it that says "don't push" why dontcha?) Now the engine fires right up most of the time. (not saying every time, because I haven't got it on the lake yet and don't feel like having to edit this and shooting myself in the foot.)WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the $150 my local marina wanted for the same thing! Install was <5 minutes, just needed a 10 socket (iirc) and a short extension. Was man enough to do it without unhooking the battery, so that saved me the hardest part of the whole thing.Discount Starter + Alt got it sent out lickity split... arrived before the first date listed for my "expected delivery". Crummy weather kept me off the lake, though.

Product is exactly as advertised. Removed old and installed new, including solenoid, in 35 minutes on my 95 Mercury 25 hp tiller steer.Thanks for providing a product at a fraction of the cost, compared to the local marinas. Looks to be the identical part. Heck, they probably get it from this company.Since I run my boat in salt water, I used the spray-on Plastikote to protect all electrical connections.Now she cranks up first time, every time.I will post again after running around the creeks this week.

Didn't fit my application of a 20E 1980 Mercury. Diameter was too large.
