Great value and delivered what was promised
I was sort of skeptical at first how well this battery case would fit, how well it would work and if the charging and wireless charging would work, but believe it or not, the case isn't half bad. I use my phone at work in construction and I am always worried about my phone dying halfway through the day. With this case my phone could probably last two whole days with heavy usage easily. Hold the button on the back for like 2 seconds and it starts charging the phone, albeit at a pretty fast rate, even the phone states it is "charging quickly." It'll prob do like 50-90% in like 30-45 minutes. It does have wireless charging but very slowly, and NFC/Google pay work through the case as well. It is bulky and probably doubles the phone's thickness and weight, but you're really not expecting to pull blood from a stone, right? The case charges over USBC which is nice so I don't have to worry about microusb cables at all. I would recommend this to anyone no problem.

Great Idea, Poorly Executed
It had decent battery life and protected my phone fairly well. That's the only positives. The wireless charging option was nearly impossible to use. My phone would blink from charging to not charging constantly, effectively draining the battery. Now, less that six months later, it's completely dead. Total waste of money!

Phenomenal Concept but just short of greatness.
The Newdery Google Pixel 4 XL battery case is a phenomenal product, but needs refinement. I spent a week with the product and this is what I got. It's more or less two products in one; an external battery pack & a case. On the case front it's not necessarily the best. It's a silicone rubberized bumper case that goes around the phone. It's not something I would ever recommend personally to anyone.I'm a thick case fan, I don't care if a phone gets thicker or "uglier" as long as it's saving me money in the long run with protection. Nothing is as ugly as a shattered phone and needing to shell out unexpected expenses because I wanted to be particular about asthetics.I'm all for phone protection. The thicker the case, the better the phone protection.Technically the case is thick but not where it counts. It's not thick in terms of protecting your phone, it's thick as it needs space for the battery. Which I guess kind of offsets the balance so if it falls it's bottom heavy protecting your phone on principal, but it's not built thick around the borders if that makes any sense at all.Going to the external battery portion, it's amazing to be able to just hold down a button and charge up your phone from 20% and 30% all the way back up to a full 100% charge in the palm of your hand. You don't need an extra external battery pack, you don't need to plug it up. In case you need it you just hold down a button and it comes in clutch! That feeling is magical!I've had one major problem with the battery case. I've noticed that wireless charging is hit or miss and it's stored charge is inconsistent. It seems to work when it wants to. I could put it on a wireless charger and for whatever reason it either keeps flickering on and off like it wants to charge but it doesn't or at other times it charges the case and not the phone. Sometimes it charges the case but not all the way and there's no clear reason why. It's just been a 50/50 experience in terms of charging. But once its charged, it comes in CLUTCH!I got this case specifically because it has a battery pack and can wirelessly charge. If I can't wireless charge it. I'm not fully using the product as it's advertised. I might as well use a regular non case external battery pack...which I already own a massive one.I kinda forgive this as I chalk this up to the product being so new that it was available almost before the phone was even released. Chances are Newdery was just working off of renders and models without the device or the manufacturing logistics fully fleshed out yet. (You can kinda tell because the phone showing off the product pic is a dummy model, not a real Pixel 4 XL)For a product that worked as close to perfect, releasing just before or at the same time as the main device launch, using dummy models is nothing short of impressive.I did want to bring up pricing. I think the price for this product is reasonable. I saw others criticising the price which I think is Ludacris. The price at the point of making this review is $49.99.I've seen cases for upwards of around $60 and in some cases even more for just the case itself!I've also seen external battery packs being sold for $20 - $40 dollars by themselves if not more. This gives you a combination of both a case and a battery pack for just $49. Honestly, that's a steal!Anyone who complained about the price, is in my opinion, not thinking with the clearest of minds.Ultimately, I think this case is great! But I would hold off on buying it immediately at least until January of 2020. This product was just released so they could be fixing anomalies within the manufacturing process and refining it.If you're a wired charger type of person and you don't really care that much about having your phone protected or wireless charging, this is the case for you. This product would be great in terms of day to day use.I think the perfect implementation of this concept would be a battery case which was thicker around the edges to actually make it a tank for better protection and the wireless charging/charge holding problems were fixed so that it works every. single. time.I'll be switching to a different case and using my external battery pack in the meantime hoping that they over time improve on the product or come out with a 2.0.

A must have! Can't go without one!
Excellent product, and works well. The Pixel 4 XL is a great phone, but the battery is a weakness. Thanks to this case though, I can just go without worrying about battery consumption! Great work Newdery

Not perfect but good enough
Overall this is a good case. It's solid, fit well, and seems to offer your standard fare of protection. The additional battery life works as advertised and if you're buying it for that your should feel comfortable in the purchase. It's not without its flaws however. The case adds quite a bit of thickness and weight. While this isn't a huge deal for me, I can see it being a problem for others. Thinner 2500mAh battery option I think would be the sweet spot between size and additional battery life. The biggest problem I have with the case however is that it does seem to have some recharging problems. When I have a USB-C charger plugged into it the battery icon on the phone flashes between "charging" and "not charging" and while doing so the phone's battery is not charging at all. This is true even if the case's battery is fully charge and whether you have the charging capability of the case turned on or off and is very troubling to me as I'm not certain of what impact this seemingly start/stop flow of power is having on the life of my phone's battery. Seperately, both the phone and case recharge without issue.I can only recommend this case because it seems to be the only one on the market outside of iBlades. If there were anything else I'd skip this one but it's good enough.

Would be great, but it doesn't charge with some chargers
I bought this, hoping I would be able to extend my phone's battery life without significant changing the way I use and charge my phone, but that's sadly not really possible for me.My main issue is that the case doesn't appear to support all chargers or cables or something. It won't charge with the charger I use for my phone. This charger supports rapid charging when I plug it directly into the phone, but if I plug it into this case, neither the case nor the phone will charge. It seems really hit and miss - some chargers work, others do not. When the case is fully charged, it's actually really great. It works well and does have A TON of battery life. Probably two days worth with pretty heavy usage.I did notice it won't work with Android Auto if you don't have a wireless Android Auto setup. Also, it's fairly giant, so be prepared for your phone to feel huge.
