Legit
I've known chest expanders existed since I was a kid. But I haven't seen one since maybe the '80s... when I was a kid. I'm fairly certain that with these and some fat gripz, you have a complete upper body work out. You don't need anything else. After I master these, I'll be moving on to rings. All great stuff to keep the equipment to an absolute minimum. These seem simple and sturdy enough. I do believe this rubber stuff starts dry rotting in about a year. Luckily you can buy replacement tube from theraband, here on Amazon, though there's no weight rating (I think that may be a misnomer anyway). If you bought the 100lb one, I would imagine the black theraband might be worth the investment since that's their highest tension. The plastic covers are not hard to remove, just tricky. I believe I used an ink pen to get it off the first time. It pops off fairly easily. Now that I think of it, if you wanted, you could probably add a tab of duck tape to that piece if you think you're going to be changing every 5 minutes. It's not a problem for me though. For the space savings and the cheap cost of this thing, it's totally worth the money. Take the plunge.

Chest Expander
Looks a little frail, no instruction pamphlet included, but surprisingly effective in the broad sense of the word. Sly Stallone, AKA Rocky, Rambo or Barney, would have the tool in splinters within ten minutes, but for a senior citizen trying to maintain some semblance of his former self, not bad. Incorporated with dumbbells, push ups and a couple other gizmos, makes for a decent workout. The machine may not outlast a politician's promise, but that's yet to be determined. Considering the price, I AM NOT sorry I purchased it.

you can see on my picture the ruber became brocan
It was not pleasent during exersise that it brake, but i use it 3 month. They my sell or send me spare buthave no idea how to request few more rubers. I talked with amazone, but it wasn't real person. Definatly for this price it normal. but it should be a way to request few more rabers if it became demaged in few month. I did exersise alone 3-4 times a week

Way more resistance than expected
Just got it, so haven't used it for that long, but I can tell both the handles and the soft bands are sturdy. I got a twister bar earlier and I just assumed I'd need similar level of lbs. or resistance from this. Turns out 125 lbs. is quite a bit more than what I can do at this point. That said, I'd still recommend getting the highest level of resistance if you plan on using this long term. It's easy to take out any of the 5 soft bands, so you can easily decrease the amount of resistance (e.g., 25 x 5 = 125 lbs., so you can cut it all the way down to just 25, or 50, or 75, etc.).

WTF?
I’ve gotten a similar product previously, with no complaints. This one is different, however. One of the cables broke THE FIRST TIME I USED IT. I am less than thrilled. Update: the second of five bands broke tonight; clearly, a defective product.

Not bad for a 51 yr old dude
I first started with a spring device back 30 years ago, but they got over stretched. About 15-20 yr ago I jumped on my first multi rubber band per string, and them sucker lasted me to this time, though most of the strings have busted rubber bands within them. And so I had to get me another one of the kind, and I was right about this one. I don't lift weights much anymore, but this device - plus my bungee cord (curls, triceps, pull ins), and the total gym are my main work out, plus push-ups (sets: 75-50-35-25-15), and not bad for a 51 yr old dude. I am really looking after my health, cause I don't want to look like the typical Latino boy, American boy, Hell - Typical Human (too much sugar in this world). 5'10" - 185 lbs, with lots of injuries (torn right ACL, herniated disc from neck to lower lumbar, broken right clavicle bone, torn tendons, cracked ribs, and many more). So don't give up, and get off your ass, and do like 10+ miles on the stationary bike, or actual.

Orange Cap INCREDIBLY difficult to remove! Company needs to address this!
I will change this review if someone can tell me how to get the orange caps off to remove tubing! This came with NO INSTRUCTIONS. The pictures show the orange cap needs to be removed but it is solidly on there and my boyfriend is STRONG and can’t get it off! There’s no release button. The YouTube videos show usage only, not how to take the cap off. This is UNUSABLE in its shipped form, with all five tubes attached. Too tense. The ad copy keeps saying, “It’s easy!”, so I’m thinking it’s possible they’ve changed the cap to non-removable, and haven’t updated the ad.Edit 4-30-19That cap was incredibly difficult to get off. You must squeeze the grey part below the orange to get it to a point where you can muscle over the orange cap. (My boyfriend’s hands and joints ached for days due to the difficulty.) Thanks to all the people who responded to my question, as the company did not (thumbs down on that) and does not link to a video for instructions. My boyfriend is enjoying the new challenge in his workout, as just three tubes are doing more tension-wise than his decades old metal springs, that would sometimes catch his skin and cause bleeding! Ouch!Note to company: it’s okay to not include instructions, but include a link to a video on your page and please stop saying it’s easy. 🙏
