Sterling SBW260 White Plated Security Door Bolts

Today I received replacement door locks because an item was missing from the vacuumed package in my original order. No quibbling from Amazon who was the supplier in this case, they sent a new package all within 24 Hrs. Thank you for excellent service. The item, brass door locks supplied by Sterling through Amazon are good quality and a fair price all with a 10year guarantee. Thank you Amazon and Sterling for a good product.

Edit:Ok, be warned, the screws are poor quality. Specifically seem to be of a soft metal.Had to remove a plate for adjustment and on re tightening screw nearly removed the grooves in the Phillips head. Just about managed to back it out and replace with other screw I had handy.As anyone knows, losing a screw's head grooves once in tight becomes a nightmare if need to remove it.Dropped another star for this as I don't see how much is to be saved by scrimping on quality of a few screws.!______________For the price these Sterling Dead Bolts look good quality. However the packaging is different from the Amazon advertisement , which shows 10 year guarantee... they actually come in a plastic packet stating 2 year guarantee.So obviously manufacturer no longer has 10 years confidence in the product.I'll update if any issues / opinions arise after installation.Oh and as other reviewers mention, you only get one key. So if you want to do 2 doors in different rooms you'll prob end up having to buy spare.

The media could not be loaded. Great value for money. Product is of good quality and easy enough to fit. We used it to secure our home office to avoid little ones causing mischief. Would have been better if they supplied 2 keys tho

This is a twin pack of door security bolts which comes in at the price of most similar, single packs.Given the low pricing on this product I was surprised to find that, not only do you get two bolts and two keys in the package but also the quality appears to be every bit as good as more expensive, similar items.Fitting is not difficult if you have the right tools and are a reasonably competent DIYer and, once fitted these add another level of security to your doors. I've used these on an outbuilding, placing one at the top of the door and another at the bottom. The way that I have fitted these you can operate them from inside or outside of the door and, whilst this means that potentially a determined thief could unbolt them and gain access they would need to be carrying a suitable tool to use as a key and it would definitely slow them down - plus the door has a mortice lock.
