Awesome Product for Mobile Mechanic - Great Socket Locking Technology!!!
UPDATE: I dropped a socket rail on the ground and snapped one of the socket holders. I contacted TEKTON customer support on their website and had a response in minutes. Dave (TEKTON Tool Support Manager) responded to me and asked for a picture. After explaining what happened, he sent me 10 1/4 and 10 3/8 socket holders WITH stickers!!! Thank you Dave for the support of a great product. I will be ordering this again in the future when more sockets are needed. AWESOME SUPPORT for an EXCELLENT product!!! 5 STARS!!! Purchased these because I travel to customers for work. I have them in a soft bag inside my mobile tool box. These socket holders are much better then anything else on the market that I have seen. They actually rotate on to lock the socket to the rail. I am excited ab out having them in my tool box. So far they seem to be working well. I did, however, break one of the 3/8" socket holders while the full rail fell on the ground from approx 3 ft. I will contact Customer Support and leave an update and new review after.

These are terrible. I bought the1/4-inch size
These are terrible. I bought the1/4-inch size. You are suppose to put the socket on and give it a little turn to lock it in. The locked position is so weak, that you can hardly tell when it is locked. Even when you get in the locked position, it is not tight at all. I purchased two. When I went to return them, Amazon stated that I could just keep it and they would return my money. After I finished with the return, I noticed it was for just one. So I did a return on the other one, this time Amazon sent me a return shipping label. I could have kept one for free and just returned one, but they were so bad I returned both of them. I did not want one for free, that is how bad they are. I had purchased a Olsa Tools |1/4-Inch Drive Aluminum Socket Organizer about a week earlier and it is well built.

I'm replacing Mechanics Time Saver rails with these
I bought a set of 9 MTS rails because they were super heavy duty and had the magnetic feature. As a home mechanic, I found I didn't use the magnetic feature, and even if I wanted to, it is too weak to hold a full rail of 1/2" sockets. They were also expensive, so I decided to try these Tekton rails for some of my other sockets. I am glad I did! These are lighter, and the twist lock doesn't require as much of a turn to use, so it is faster. I don't miss the magnetic thing at all. Best of all, these pack the sockets in denser, so you can fit more in your tool drawer, especially in the 3/8 and 1/4 sizes. So far, they have held all my sockets with the exception of a set of 3/8" Irwin bolt extractors that the MTS rails do hold. One of my favorite features is the label stickers. It makes it so easy to find stuff and put it back. I do think the MTS rails will hold the sockets tighter and survive a higher drop than these will, and if I were a pro mechanic I might go with those, but for my purposes, the Tektons hold tight enough to keep me organized, and the weight savings, space savings, and labels are so good that I am putting my MTS rails into storage and buying Tekton replacements. Also, it is easy to pop excess socket clips off of one rail and put them on another if 15 clips per rail doesn't quite match your collection. The thing that you can't do safely with the Tektons is trim the rails to length. There are stops molded into the plastic to keep the clips from sliding off the end, and you would lose those if you started trimming.

Works fine, needs magnets on the bottom
I've bought quite a few Tekton tools and most of them are decent quality, backed by a great warranty. While I like this socket rail, it is missing a magnet on the back to help hold it securely in a tool box drawer. Tekton doesn't advertise it that way, but I'm removing one star because it seems like a no-brainier to me. I do like the twist lock design and the stickers to mark the socket sizes. It holds sockets securely and the quality is fine - maybe a revised version will have magnets on the bottom.

Great, but could use more clips and longer length
I like these socket holders. So much so, I bought a couple of extra single ones, as I have many sizes of sockets. I have them, not in a drawer or tool box, but hanging on my pegboard. They have this convenient hole at the top that allows this, and I have the 1/4" on one 'peg', 3/8" on another and 1/2 inch on the third. So I can now find just what one I want without too much time spent searching for the right one. I have both metric and English sockets, as I imagine most of you do also, and having them separated on the Tekton strips is handy. Any 'extra' sockets like universal joints etc., as well as the wrenches, I made a shelf out of 1/4" walnut, drilled appropriate holes and store them within easy reach below the Tekton holders. The only complaint I can find is the length of these. Not long enough. I have several smaller sized sockets that could not be included on these strips, as there were not enough clips to put them on, and not enough length to add more clips. So for those, I have some 'tins' that I bought with sets of smaller sockets. Or, you could just buy more holders, but it would be nice to have say 5 or so more clips with an appropriate length to hold more sockets. I still give it 5 stars though, but would drop a 1/2 star if I could because of the lack of additional length and clips.

TEKTON Disappointment
I've carried around a 65-piece socket set (Metric/Standard) for 30 years. The plastic clam-shell case broke a few years back. I decided to organize and make it a little easier to carry my tools. The Tekton "Locking" Socket Holder would be perfect! Huge disappointment! Procured 2x3/8, 1X1/4 Tekton products / 2X3/8, 1X1/4, and 1X1/2 Metal Clip design. The Tekton never "lock"...a loose plastic pressure tag is supposed to "lock" the sockets...they barely hold upright. Now I have a bag full of loose sockets in a carry bag. I'd think twice before procuring. The Metal Clip design hasn't had an issue...little harder to attach but they stay in place. Will replace my Tektons... I don't have the cash nor space to purchase a nice compartment-ready Tool Chest.

tut was es soll. Die Hltbarkeit konnte ich noch nicht testen.. in jedem Fall sollte man drauf achten dass man die Werkzeugeinsätze beim auf und abstecken dreht, sonst dürfte sich der Halter abnutzen

I have started to use these but not a lot more first impression was I didn’t like them then I found I had difficulty getting sockets On the pegs but the I got the hang of it but the thing I don’t like it you can’t add or remove the black nubs so you can’t add more sockets to the rails and that the plastic feels like if I dropped it for off a ladder the it would brake. It’s to expensive for what you get should cast like £15 or $15 not worth the money
