LUXE Bidet 7/8" x 7/8" x 1/2" Shut-Off Valve T-Adapter, Original Lever

Perfect Fit and Finish for Luxe Bidet Users This shut-off valve T-adapter turned out to be exactly what I needed to complete my Luxe bidet setup. The nickel finish matches the rest of the hardware in the bathroom, and the teardrop lever makes it easy to control the water flow—smooth action, no sticking or wobble. Installation was straightforward, even for someone like me who isn’t especially handy; the fit to the existing Luxe Neo series bidet attachment was precise and leak-free on the first try. I appreciate that it feels solid and well-machined—no flimsy parts, and the lever has a reassuring firmness when turning it on and off. One thing to keep in mind: it’s designed specifically for Luxe Neo series attachments, so it may not be compatible with every bidet model out there. If you’re not using a Neo series, double-check before ordering. Bottom line: A well-built, easy-to-install accessory that adds reliability and convenience to a Luxe bidet system.

I bought both this Luxe T-adapter and also the "Bella Bidet Solid Brass Metal T-adapter" and used them with the Neo Bidet 180 (I put one in each of our two bathrooms). The Luxe is much higher quality. The screw-on parts are longer on the Luxe. After you screw on the top to the connection at the bottom of your toilet tank, this T-adapter still swivels freely, so you can have your opening and also your shut-off valve right where you want them. That works really well, so you can connect the flexible metal water tube over to the bidet. Make sure you have everything lined up correctly, and don't screw this on crooked. Also, tighten it all by hand, and then give just a little tightening with your wrench. If you tighten it too much, it will leak! The little post sticking out is the water pressure valve for the bidet, not for the toilet tank. If you keep the post straight down, that is off (no water getting through to the bidet). If you turn the post all the way up, it will stick out to the side, perpendicular. That is full water pressure. We found that the water pressure was too strong when on full. So, this allows you to adjust the water pressure to just what you like. The bidet allows you to further control the water pressure, too. I highly recommend getting this T-adapter with the Neo Bidet 180 (or any of the Neo bidets, I think they all attach the same way). Just make sure you line it up carefully, and don't tighten it too much. I am in my mid-60's, and had no trouble attaching this with no leaks. (after I managed to get myself down on the floor!) My son and husband are very strong, and both of them ruined T-adapters by tightening them too much. You don't have to be strong to attach this.

I installed the Luxe Neo 120 bidet of my elongated American Standard low flush toilet. The toilet itself is amazing but the seat that came with it is an absolute piece of cheap lightweight plastic junk. I thought for certain I would need a new seat. I must have lucked out because the Neo 120 installed perfectly with that seat and without the optional rubber seat-bumpers that Luxe sells. The installation was a total breeze. I also purchased this “Luxe Metal T-adapter with Shut-off Valve” even though some reviews weren’t so favorable. It shuts supply water off ONLY feeding the bidet and NOT the toilet. This is a very solid and heavy shut-off device, does not feel cheap in any way. This very high quality shutoff gives added security of knowing the supply water into the bidet can be shut off quickly & easily when not in use. I live alone and do not want to come home to a flood. (Many times though I’ve forgotten to shut it off for a day or two and feel fully confident in the high quality of the bidet itself.) I highly recommend this option for peace of mind. It's operation is "smooth as butter" and I love the simplicity of it. It is a 1/4 turn valve from fully open to fully closed. The shut off lever is small and inconspicuous. Some reviewers who feel the water pressure/force of the bidet is to harsh have said you can lower it by adjusting the lever on this valve. Working very slow the installation (bidet and valve) from start to finish took me about 25 minutes. No leaks anywhere.

My toilet does not have a shut-off valve and I have not been able to loosen the fitting at the floor to the stainless steel flex hose to add one. So I really needed a way to adjust the pressure. This shut-off valve is well made but it did not come with a rubber gasket for where it attaches to the underside of the toilet. I tried using the gasket that came with the plastic valve but it leaked like crazy. The plastic valve and the metal valve are configured differently at this connection. So I dug around in my plumbing stuff for a cone shaped gasket -- more like what was on the stainless steel flex hose that had been attached to the underside of the toilet. This worked perfectly. No more leaks! BTW the directions for the bidet show a cone shaped gasket but that is not what you get. The gasket that comes with the bidet and the plastic tee is shaped more like a hollow top hat. So, if I decide to order a second bidet for my other bathroom (also no shut-off valve) I will be sure and get a cone shaped gasket that fits this metal tee before I start my installation. Update May 1, 2014: The Luxe folks contacted me through Amazon after my review went live. They said I should have gotten a rubber gasket with this valve and apologized for it being missing. So I asked them to send me the proper gasket. They said they couldn't do that but they could send me a whole new valve assembly including gasket and it came a few days later. I am extremely impressed with their customer service.

These things are great. This is the second one we've bought, to install our second bidet (which I also highly recommend!). This really helped regarding the first bidet installation, which took maybe 30 minutes - and that was my un-handy brother doing it! If you're handy around the house, your installation would probably be even faster. Two thumbs up! 👍🏽👍🏽

This is a review of "The Luxe Metal T-adapter with Shut off Valve, 3-way Tee Connector, Chrome Finish, for Luxe Neo Bidets." I installed this item with a new Luxe Neo 180 Bidet a little over a month ago. The installation was pretty simple, even in my very cramped bathroom. I only had one hiccup with this: I didn't tighten the bottom connection (coming from the water source) very well, and it leaked. Stupid me, I thought the leak was at the top connection (the inlet to the toilet tank). I'm lucky I didn't over tighten that one. When I finally figured it out and tightened the bottom one some more, then the leak stopped. The Neo 180 is a cold-water only bidet, so there was only the one connector to the bidet from the T-adapter with Shut-off Valve. I should mention that this is my first experience with any bidet, and I am oh so glad that I got this adapter! I've got the water source opened up good, and this adapter allows me to vary the pressure into - and more importantly - out of the bidet. It's a good thing I read the reviews on the Luxe Neo bidets, especially the ones that recommend you get this adapter! The idea of having a clean posterior after elimination really appealed to me, and that is why I got the bidet in the first place. But after reading the reviews, I imagined a Ralphie-type character (you know, the main kid from the movie "A Christmas Story") wanting a new bidet for Christmas. But when he tells people what he wants, they, of course, aren't aware of this T-adapter with Shut-off Valve, and so they are forever telling him, "A new Luxe 180 Bidet? You'll shoot your butt off kid!" Well, if you don't get this item, you really won't shoot your butt off, but it may feel like it! The plastic T-adapter that comes with the bidet does not have a valve to vary the pressure to the bidet, and you will probably want to turn down the pressure from your water source, and be very slow on the bidet switch. But this, of course, will affect how quickly your tank fills as well. I read another review where the user claims that this item also slows down the fill rate on their tank. Well I didn't time what my tank fill time was before the install, so I don't have any empirical evidence to compare. But my tank appears to fill up just as fast as it did before. So this is not a problem for me. I've got my water source valve pretty much wide open. Also, as I'm using the bidet, I've noticed that our water pressure to the house often varies anyway. So it's nice to be able to tweak this metal T-adapter "on the fly," so to speak. It's easy to reach without having to get up off the seat. This is very convenient for me due to the variable water supply pressure. If your water pressure is very constant, then you probably won't have to tweak the T-adapter hardly at all once you've got it set for your own comfort and cleanliness level. It will take some experimentation, but you can adjust the metal T-adapter as the bidet is being used. Pretty easy to set how you want it. Bottom Line: If you're going to install a Luxe Neo Bidet, then, in my opinion, this item is not optional. Seriously, it works just as advertised and saved a lot of grief with playing with the water source pressure. I gave it 5 stars because it saved me from shooting my butt off, and that is more than I can say for pretty much everything else I've bought on Amazon! -Fred

I gave it 1 star because the value is high quality and beautiful. But the fitting size to the toilet is 15/16" and NOT 7/8" and despite what the product description says this is NOT the same thing. This valve is metal and usually in the USA most modern toilets have a PLASTIC male connector coming out of the bottom of the toilet tank. 15/16" looks VERY close to 7/8", BUT IT IS NOT THE SAME THING. And what ends up happening is the valve's metal construction will ruin the threads on your 7/8" plastic toilet tank connection. And you'll fight with it for like 4 hours like I did and ruin your toilet's plastic male fitting. It'll still leak no matter how much you tighten it, because it's the wrong size. This was very easy to install, looks good and seems to be well constructed. The shut off valve operates smoothly and with little pressure applied. There was no issue with leaks and though time will tell how well it stands up, I'm optimistic.

This is a high-quality product, very sturdy and surely would have worked for us - if it fit on our pipes, which it does not. It’s the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. I’m sure it does what it’s supposed to, but it didn’t work for us so we will have to find another that works with our pipes. Make sure you check the sizing before you purchase. Otherwise great product.

I did have a leak as a lot of people did, however once I repositioned the tower in the tank it had stopped. I had over tightened.

It was awful and it didn’t work at all. I bought some similar item before and they’re working great. When i installed it seems good but water wents out from meeting points and there was no way ti fix it.
