Nice, inexpensive Bidet
I had never used a bidet before. My wife had surgery recently and had been using a Sitz bath which is inexpensive but not convenient. The Brondell product works very well. First, installation was easy. I've read where some said the T valve was not the right size. Well, the instructions state it goes on the tank side, not the wall valve and it fits just fine on the tank. My T valve was metal, not plastic like some earlier reviewers mentioned. I bought the round version of the bidet and had an older Eljer toilet (installed 2001). I put the bidet on and it stuck way past the end of the porcelain. Not sure if my toilet is a compact version or what but it didn't fit. I have an elongated Kohler toilet in the spare bathroom and put the bidet on that toilet. It fits fine pulled all the way forward and works very well. Luckily my spare bath also had an electrical outlet within 3 feet of the toilet so I didn't need to mount a new outlet or use an extension cord. I used the double-sided tape to secure the remote mount to the tile wall next to my toilet. The hole in the seat is smaller than a standard toilet seat, but it must be this way or you would risk spraying water up and around the seat with a larger hole. When using the bidet I find I must sit straight up for it to spray the area properly. The heated seat is a bonus! The water heater has 3 settings (or can be left off) and I'm using the middle setting. I have the pressure on the high (third) setting and it seems to work very well. The soft close seat and cover are nice, but you won't be able to stand on it like you can a standard toilet seat cover as it is too thin and only supported at the very front of the cover. I would recommend this seat to anyone looking for a good cost bidet option.

Easy install, good size, decent features
We now have bidet seats installed on all our bathrooms. I prefer the Brondell over the Bio-bidet simply because of the size. The Bios are too short. For an elongated toilet, the cover on the Bio is fine but the actual seat was still round and too small. If you get the round one, it too is very small, almost kid size seat. Both have similar features over different models and both work well so I wont knock the bio for functionality, just the fit and size. This Brondell is the base model with heating functions and is now the second Brondell in the house. The other we have had for about 8 months and does not have the remote. It is still working great. Many bidets have a lot of different features but honestly, heated water is the most important to us and most will have adjustable temperatures. Other features are bonus if you are willing to pay (night light, fan, etc). I don't use the fan function on our other but if you are willing and able, pay for an upgrade, get one with an adjustable nozzle position. These bidet seats are very nice and worth the money. We purchased ours just before the world went crazy for TP so we were pretty happy that this device allowed us to use far less (basically for drying).

Garbage twice
We bought one of these in 2015, and the IR sensor broke a week after the 1-year warranty expired. Rather than go through the hassle of paying to ship it, paying for a repair and paying to ship it back, we bought a new one. New one arrived today, and it was broken right out of the box. I installed it correctly, plugged it in, and immediately water began to pour out of the nozzle chamber into the bowl. Just an initial cleaning cycle, I thought, but it was still happening 10 minutes later. I reset it with the power button, no change. I unplugged it and plugged it in again, it just started happening again. I sat on it and tried to unstick its little electronic brain by pressing the wash button, no change, except that in addition to the cascade of water into the bowl, a nozzle came out and sprayed for 10 seconds and then stopped. I got up, and it was still extended. I looked at it for a minute, and it suddenly began spraying all over the bathroom, which is never supposed to happen because of the IR sensor.Checked the Brondell site, customer service is only open 9-5 on weekdays, cause you know everyone has time to stay home from work and get their bidet seat fixed. Plus, even under warranty, I have to pay for shipping, apparently.Nope! I'm done. Returning it today, buying another brand.

Five Years In - Still Performing Strong (with one catch)
I purchased this model in May of 2017. It is now June of 2022, and I would recommend this model to anyone. Install was (relatively) quick and easy for this nonplumber, and the best thing I can say is that once it's installed, you don't need to think about it. It performed like a champ for four years. Then, there was a small leak, but a quick youtube search for "How to fix a leaking Brondell S300 Bidet" revealed that the problem was a $2 fix. There is an o-ring in this unit that, for some - me included, fails over time, but the video - while it looked complicated at first - was actually a quick, cheap, and easy fix. Again, I'm no plumber, but I just followed the steps and it took less than 10 minutes. It's been a year since, and we've had zero other issues.

Comfy Seat with Good Cleaning
I just finished the installation (pretty easy) and just tested this out a single time, but it seems to work great. It has nice adjustments for temperature of the seat and the water, and for the force of the wash water. I also like the simplicity of the control, and the fact that the control latches on magnetically to it's wall mount.I have only one "con" to mention, which is that there is no dryer function in this seat. My wife says it's not a problem, she doesn't need it. I was disappointed because we have another similar product with a dryer and I use that feature all the time. I guess it's okay without, but that's why I didn't give 5 stars. One more good thing: Some other reviews I read mentioned difficulty with the fit. It's especially important for this round (standard) shape toilet as opposed to the elongated shape that most bidet seats are made to fit. I had NO PROBLEM WITH THE FIT. I think the reviewers who described a problem of this sort either may have had some difficulties with their installation procedures or they had inferior toilets with less than standard space behind the seat mount and in front of the tank body.

Very easy to install and works great
I was worried going with a budget model would be a mistake, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and my only complaint is very small. The seat was VERY easy to install and was very quick to install. I would recommend you got to Brondell's website and watch the installation video. While the manual is clear, the videos are PERFECT and all model specific. The features are perfect for my use.My 2 small complaints are one, the washable filter is only accessible by removing the entire unit from the toilet, so it's a bigger job. That being said, it's something you clean once a year according to the manual (can vary based on the mineral content in your water). Also I got the round model as I have a round toilet, it fit the bowl PERFECTLY but is a little small for me. I'm 6'2" so the large reservoir/housing does push me forward a bit. I can fit, but I'm right on the line. I'm sure the elongated model would not have this issue at all, but you of course would need an elongated bowl. Over all I highly recommend and you can't beat the prices and features combination.

My third Brondell.
This is my third Brondell. After 16 months (out of warranty), it leaked, beeped and sprayed everywhere. This was a gradual deterioration, starting a month ago. My prior two Brondells also ended up leaking, but never had the spraying problem (sprays out of wand, out of the blue, when not in use), and neither prior one had the single beep every 10 seconds (isn't explained in the manual). Anyways, it is now garbage. No more Brondells for me. I have heard that Toto are better quality ... but people also say Brondell are decent quality. They are not.

Excellent but may not last 2+ years
Purchased the round one May 2021 and the motor broke April 2022. However, customer service was excellent and they fixed it for free (I just had to ship it back, so I advise you to keep the box it came in).Now it is almost June 2023 and the motor is having some issues again and randomly will not do the rear or front spray (but works to do nozzle cleaning). The warranty is only for one year and I will be disappointed to only get 2 years out of a 400+$ device. Will most likely not repurchase given the price and longevity.

Bargain Luxury Washlet.
Similar to a lot of the converted, I didn’t know what I was missing until I installed this washlet. It truly is a luxury item but it’s reasonably priced and performs all the basics that are usually only used in more expensive products, anyway. This was installed in an apartment bathroom and an electrical outlet had to be fished in from another circuit from the opposite wall as there wasn’t one, toilet side. That was the only complication that had nothing to do with the washlet installation, itself. The bidet was installed within a few minutes. Easy.Love it. Highly recommend it. Now I just have to stop talking about it in public.
