With just a wave of your hand, easily access favorite functions, answer calls, snooze alarms, and even increase volume without touching your phone. Highlight yourself by softening backdrops with the 3D camera that separates you from the background with refined precision. Add a professional touch to portraits by adjusting your photo's depth of field for an artistic and accentuating background effect. Take breathtaking selfies with studio-quality lighting by adjusting and adding light from any angle. Spotlight detects your facial curvature to create natural shadows and gorgeous highlights.

All around great phone
A solid phone. Has taken quite a beating and still works. I've dropped this phone a good 50 times (on concrete mostly) and the screen finally did crack, but no shattering and I dont get glass slivers in my fingers, the cracks are smooth and not very deep somehow. The screen is very pigmented , objects are sharp and crystal clear. I take pictures for work that details need to be seen and no blurry shots and the camera is excellent and my bosses are happy with quality, as they used to recommend getting top of the line Samsung or Iphones only, but now include LG G8. Ive never had any multi tasking issues or any issues that I can blame on the phone. I dowmload alot of documemts on it and still have memory left with no memory card. Most of the time its quick to load and open things. I like the size, not too big or small. I can't one hand type on it but if the screen was to be smaller to fit my hand , then it would be too small to shop on, so its a good size. The battery lasted 2 days without charging it at first (I'm on it alot) , but after having it about a year I have to charge it most daily, which I think is common. With a lightning charger it takes about 30 minutes to charge if it's just charging. It's had drinks spilled on it with no difference but has never been fully submerged in liquid, and with cracks on the screen. I put it in my bra all day while working outside and sweating and it has no effect. Has exceeded my expectations.

Premium phone at midrange price
Everything works. Very slippery though, a case is needed to hold properly. Good value.

Well i had a lg g7 thinkq an didnt want other phone bc of features lg provides like screen resolution an if u are audiophile u will love the dts surround sound an the 32bit quad dac wich in my opion makes any head phones or car speakers sound great . yall should take advantage of these phones they are very good an are cheaper than when they came out i had no issues yet . it is tmobile branded phone not at&t but i guess it will work . my phone updated to andriod 10already in 2days has been getting updates im pleased that lg is keeping promise to send updates 3years after you purches any lg phone from date of purches this for you who are wondering about that . you do get factory warranty in box when u recive your phone an u must register it online in order to have it applied to your phone . anyway i dont see why spend 100's on the new phones with all the features most will never really use . bottom line if u want a snappy snapdragon 855 under hood an QHD screen wich is nice an bright for watching movies an games are a breez with the Adreno 640 i belive u get in chip it can handle any game i belive. No hiccups yet on navigating thru handset. Hopefully this review helps some chose whata best for them

Great phone, new in box.
The packaging box was reused from a "demo phone" but the phone is brand new. T-Mobile branded, which for me was just a matter of putting in the old SIM card and I'm in business... almost... There is really a whole lot of updates.Internal memory is whopping 128Gig ... and I added another 128 Gig with the old SD card.I like how the red color looks awesome but too bad, it is hidden inside the protective case.. oh well. The display looks very good, as good as the G6 and the G7 ThinQ at practically the same size. There is some difference but when you hold one or another, you can't tell. The power button is on the right side. There is a "Google Assistant" button on the left.Fingerprint reader is still on the back. And there IS a headset jack for those of you that like to live in seclusion.Phone updated right away to Android Version 9 and applied security patch level July/1/2019But !!! There are many, many updates, one of top of another to allow it to become Android version 10 ! Then a few more security updates on top of that... and a lot of them all will want to "fine tune the apps" so, be prepared to spend several hours doing the process. I wanted to get it up to the last patch, so I think I spent about 7+ hours doing all (migration and updates). This phone is an excellent cost effective replacement device.REVIEW a month later..... some weird hardware problem keeps the phone waking up in the night with apparent notifications although I have hard-reset two or three times and other numerous power off/on. Amazon is sending a replacement. But I am really having regrets to ordered the phone. Everything I said before still stands, unless you want a decent glass tempered screen protector: there is not one that works.. why ? The screen is curved at the edges so any flat glass will stick out a little. So, to try to resolve the issue, the glass manufacturers came with the idea of adding a bead of cheap glue on the edges to fill up and hold the glass... it happens that it won't last or cases will push the glass slightly off and when that happens, the glue wont adhere anymore, so after a month, I really wished I had started the search by the tempered glass protection instead ... if you dont care, go ahead as I initially reviewed it.. .but I took 1 star because of the round edges.

LG G8 ThinQ
Very nice phone. Needed a new phone for hubby who lost his so I decided to buy myself a new phone instead and give him my old LG G6. He is not tech savvy or phone smart so it was a perfect solution.Transferred all my apps and info to the new phone. Cleared and reset the old phone for hubby and now we are both happy campers! Had to adjust to get use to the features of the G8 and how the phone operates. Took about a week. I'm on the road and on the go quite a bit so I need a good solid work for the type of work I do. Price was good and I like the look, features, and functions of the phone. It's like having my laptop with me at all times. Phone works four me perfectly. Glad I found it.
