Great storage bags
These are super storage bags for small items of food, etc. I like the idea they are “recyclable” too.Thank You 😊

Repeat customer
We've been buying these for a few years. We've never had a problem with the zipper part. We wash and reuse the bags until they are well beat-up, then throw them in the compost pile. They break-down and biodegrade quickly in the compost pile. Amongst other uses they are used in kid's lunch boxes, so they are in a unforgiving environment and have never had a problem with them.

Work great for some foods
I'd say, the most important thing to know about these handy little bags is that they are great for some foods, but less than ideal for others. The bags are breathable so they are perfect for storing things like fresh vegetables which do better when not in an airtight container (they let off gases as they decay); however, things like cheese will start to harden after a couple days.If you are considering this product, then you (like myself) probably hate the waste associated with plastic. But there are some cases when a bag is the most useful container...this product provides the convenience of a ziplock bag without the guilt of creating more plastic waste.Just like any other task, food storage is a matter of finding the right tool for every job. So while these bags might not be useful for all foods, they are certainly a useful tool to have in your food storage toolbox. For anyone who is interested, I thought I would share another option for non-plastic food storage (and its free): glass jars (I'm sure many of you already do this, but I didn't realize all the uses for glass jars until I started looking at some sustainable living blogs, so I thought I would share the tip to anyone who finds it useful). Next time you rinse out a jar of pickles, spaghetti sauce, grape jelly etc., instead of throwing it in the recycling bin, hang on to it. Jars are surprisingly handy, they come in shapes and sizes and have an endless number of uses. Here are some things you can store: refrigerated foods (left over soup/sauces), dry/non-perishable items (I use glass jars to store flour, sugar, coffee, tea, dry beans, pasta etc.), office supplies (staples, paper clips, rubber bands), toiletries (cotton balls, Q-tips), small jars are great for organizing a workbench (nails, screws, bolts, washers), I've also seen them used as cute drinking glasses for tea/lemonade.I don't know why but I really love taking things meant for the bin and giving them new uses.

Fine sandwich bag, but hard to open
I like biodegradable sandwich bags, both for sandwiches and to contain the odor compost items so the kitchen doesn't reek of rotting banana peels when I open the bin.In the past year, though, Biobag has shipped them tightly sealed. Thanks for showing how well they seal, but I've already bought them. Opening one to insert a sandwich requires a concerted effort, and about 1 bag in 10 rips in the process, especially if you're in a hurry. If I find a brand of biodegradable sandwich bag that isn't a challenge to use, I'll probably switch.

Good Compostable Sandwich Bags
Good Compostable Sandwich Bags. It would be nice if they could make them larger.

Awesome alternative
I should have written this review sooner since I'm an environmental scientist and want to promote things like these to divest from plastics! I've been trying out a bunch of products and have found that they all measure up. The sandwich bags are fantastic, durable, don't leak and are all that I use. I know they're expensive for bags, but as is everything that is new to the market and before it becomes more mainstream. We need to get away from the ubiquitous plastic that consumes us folks! The more people get on the compostable/biodegradable bandwagon for a more sustainable future, the cheaper and widespread these products will be. Thank you for all who have tried them and will continue to! Our planet's prognosis is very poor right now, but making changes in your life will help heal the wounds. No action is insignificant, please remember that.

Great product- wish there were more
I love this product. I try hard not to use baggies or other single use plastics. But, sometimes I need a baggie. These are a good product. The cost is a bit expensive for the amount you receive- but then again that might help you to use less. Either way, a well crafted product that holds up well.

Can't get them open without destroying them!!
These bags are great except for the closure mechanism. They come with the closure strip closed - and it's impossible (or extremely extremely difficult) to open without stretching the sides of the bag to the point where you get a hole, or the side separates from the closure strip. Not what you want when you are trying to quickly prepare your lunch for work or school. They would have been well advised to ship them with the bags open, and/or to use a slider to 'zip' them open or shut, or even to give up on 'sealable' and just provide a long flap to tuck into the bag to close them. I've had much better luck with Responsible Products bags.

No more conventional bagging!
Finally - I never have to buy polluting plastic bagging again. This company makes every size bag you need, and the peace of mind knowing they’ll all end up composting into soil is priceless.

Very Impressed.
I've been using these all summer and am very impressed. They are great for backpacking and I have even used them to hold liquid (olives with brine) and they don't leak at all. I will continue to buy these as needed.

These are amazing. Reduce / Reuse at it's best, and when done compost it! Recycling is a last resort, composting FTW.
