Sirius XM 5V PowerConnect Vehicle Power Adapter

I have a BMW X series vehicle. I had to order this after my previous radio cord broke due to me accidentally moving the back seats down to open the trunk space and accidentally pulling the cord back up and snapping it off because it got hooked on the seat and at the other end underneath the passenger seats. However I digress. This cord does what it is supposed to, no issues with power intake so far. It is a little difficult however to push into the lighter port I have it in. While I would just leave the plug plugged into my car and simply turn the radio off, I have noticed in the past that there is a glitch with my radio that it will turn itself back on thus draining the battery if I don’t catch it in time. So I feel safer unplugging and re plugging the radio in every time I enter or exit the car. The issue with this piece is that it requires a forceful push and the place my lighter port is at, is not made for constant forceful pushing. I have to hold the area the port is in and THEN push the head of the lighter plug into my car, which is not something I had to do with the in the box plug that came with the radio . Overall though good product. Works well.

Very reasonable price and came quick

The other end of the 5v power connect cable was not the correct size to fit the vehicle docking station that was in the car.I needed it for the Sirius "Starmate 8" vehicle docking station that was in the vehicle and it has to have the correct plug from thepower supply to fit it... The one that I had purchased from Amazon was not the same size that I needed.After I received it in the mail, I had to take a wire cutter and cut it off and then I spent about an hour and a half splicing the oldplug onto the ne new power cord so that it would plug into the vehicle docking station... It was a very tedious operation as I keptbreaking off the wires a little at a time trying to solder it together... It was a real pain in the ass !! Eventually I got it on there and put electrical tape around it and tied it off to the audio input wire so that it would not come apart . . . Other than that, it now works just fine and is actually quieter on the spark noise elimination and alternator wine.. The filters are better than I had before on the otheradapter that had the wire break off just under the 12 volt plug.. That is why I had to buy another one... Exactly what I expected. Tried to order the same cords from SiriusXM directly. They shipped the wrong cords. When I called to correct the mistake, the customer service rep. says they don't carry the power cords I need for the receiver I purchased from them. So thanks for carrying this model of power cord. The Seller is great -- received items quickly. However, the power cord itself is of poor design. The wire is too thin or the ferrite bead is too heavy. Either way, the cord winds up pulling away from the base or breaking altogether. So keep this seller's site bookmarked.

Disappointed with this item . Poor materials, wiring is to stiff not worth $20 can't recommend at this price . Maybe $5.Will be returning quickly
