This ancient design throw is sold by a Scottish company, but is made in China. It added the perfect touch of color to our new leather sofa. One of my favorite purchases.

These are high quality. The named tartans are authentic. I have bought over twenty of them both for my log cabin home and as gifts.^*^* I just bought 6 at once on Amazon - I would recommend ordering separate days if you plan to give as gifts. The packaging is very nice- but they will batch multiple blankets in one box.

Love everything about it . We are using it on our sofa and as a «warm wrap around » when needed .Quality is great , shipment was on time . We ordered 4 of them ! Really happy with all of them .

I love this blanket! it is perfect for wrapping up when the weather gets chilly! I bought 12! One for each of my Thanksgiving guests! I found it softer than expected. Although the edges are surged, it does not detract from the beautiful pattern.

The width on this knee blanket is far thinner than I'd pictured, including the fringe--and the approximate measurement provided here on Amazon must be off or I received a "knee" blanket that was a little thinner than the typical. The length of the blanket seems accurate enough.I love the deep rich colors on the ancient Buchanan tartan--and that is the most important reason for buying it anyway. Good for a knee blanket in the car, I suppose, or to hang on the wall or over the back of a chair, or hang over a bedstead or on the wall...or huddled over your shoulders or worn as a head and shoulder scarf in one--or to warm your lower leg/feet area. Or if you're very thin it might cover your body. This makes me think of the lap blankets people like FDR or Mr Potter from It's a Wonderful Life might wear over their knees while riding along in their wheel chairs.I love the deep rich colors on the ancient Buchanan tartan--and that is the most important reason for buying it anyway. The blanket thickness is just right for this type of thing and is not soft but isn't harsh on the skin either. You may want to air it out as there is a bit of a petroleum smell that seems to have mostly dissapated.

This blanket is absolutely gorgeous!!! I just had to leave a review because there are negative reviews on here that almost made me not buy the blanket and I'm so glad I did. It's made from wool and it feels like wool but not overly scratchy. It feels nice against your skin. It's a great lap blanket or wrap, perfect for your home office. It does not smell like chemicals... and the packaging was so lovely it would make a great gift.

These are great small blankets for a note of colour on sofas or stools, and to drape over the shoulders on chilly nights. The recycle lambs wool is sustainable but they have a chemical smell when they are new. I wash them in the wool cycle and lay them flat to dry. If you are looking for a super-soft blanket go for llama wool. This is very compact lambswool, a bit rough. Overall a very good product.

This is totally my bad, as obviously I didn't read the description closely enough - but make note: this looks like a long, oversized scarf more than a blanket or throw. It would be good across the foot of a bed, just for decor, but at 28" wide it's really too narrow to pull over yourself in any blankety sort of way.Pretty though, and nice weight and softness. You can tell it's wool, but it's not scratchy. The colors are soft and true to the picture.I'm still deciding whether to keep it or not, but I suspect for $70 I'm going to need more functionality.

High quality blanket which also gives you that warm feeling that you are doing your bit for the planet.This is made from recycled materials all the way through from the blanket to the packaging.The blanket looks great feels great and keeps you warm.The blanket is a good size as expected.We love it and this would also make a great gift.

Beautifully wrapped and boxed, arrived quickly. Good quality but colour not as bright as hoped.

Lovely quality, colours true to illustration and beautifully wrapped. I use it as a throw over the back of our smaller sofa. Coordinates really well with soft furnishings. Absolutely delighted with my purchase.

Arrived promptly and lovely packaging with tissue paper and a lovely box. Brilliant to give as a gift. Throw is lovely and soft and has nice label. Only down side is that the blue colours in real life are a lot more muted and grey than they appear in the picture and the predominating overall colours are beige and brown- not very blue. Still very nice throw and pleased.Addendum - I took a photo on my phone to prove a point and the image came out looking light blue - exactly like the picture in the product description. I think that this is one of those digital optical illusion effects that misleads!
