Skyway Loft Bed with Desk and Storage Tower, Twin, White

We bought this bed for my daughter to try to free up a little space in her bedroom and give her a desk so she has somewhere to escape from her brothers and concentrate on homework or working on art projects. It is just the right height for our 8' ceilings with plenty of space for her to climb in and out of bed. The drawers are larger than I had planned for so we'll be able to use them for more than we had originally planned. Once assembled it seems pretty sturdy and seems like it will provider her with years of use.Assembly was pretty simple if you've ever assembled furniture before. One part was labelled incorrectly on the instructions, and I had placed one piece in backwards, but it only took a couple of minutes to figure out what was wrong. The only downfall I had in assembly is that one of the nuts was stripped out. Unfortunately, they do not include any spares in the parts packs, so I had to improvise with a standard nut I had in my shop supplies.Overall a satisfied purchase that made our daughter very happy!

Arrived on time, in three giant boxes. It's nice that drawers come pre-assembled but at the same time two face panels simply fell off when we removed the button from the inside (they are screwed in from the inside for shipment), gluing was very crappy. I Must note when we reported this to Amazon we immediately got a partial refund which gave me the budget to call someone later to fix it. :)Took me 3 evenings after work to put it together alone, with a single, old-school screwdriver (Murphy's law: electric drill battery died, about 10 minutes into the first evening.).I'm 6.3" and ~210 lbs and when I was putting the fully assembled bed frame in place I did need almost all my back & lifting power so you should keep that in mind for a lone attempt. :)Smell was pretty bad for several days, we kept a fan running practically for a week or so... whatever they use it's pretty stinky, we were able to smell it for several weeks.All in all it's a pretty sturdy thing, easy (even if laborious) to assemble and for the price it's pretty much unbeatable ' and most importantly it is huge, I bet my already tall 6-y old princess will be able to use it all the way until our newborn son reaches the same age... :)PS: make sure you put something under the ladder hooks or they will scratch the surface right away, regardless where you put the ladder (you can move it anywhere.)

We received the product quickly which was great, however, when we opened the first box, there were two broken pieces and not from shipping. They were put in the box broken! As we opened the other two boxes, we had broken pieces in them as well. Of course we try to put the bed together on the weekend and the company is only open M - F to get replacement parts. I filled out the form on line on Saturday. I finally get a response today, now Tuesday, that I have to send in pictures of the damaged parts, proof of purchase, and many other hoops they asked for. Now it is going to take even more days for their quality control group to verify the damaged items before they will be sent to us. So I can't comment on the finished product as trying to refund will cost about $100.00 to send back to now I'm having to see how getting replacement parts will work. Very disappointing!

Pieces not labeled correctly, making for confusing construction. Pieces not drilled correctly, had to modify and drill holes myself to get them to fit. Had to use dowel holes for screws and screw holes for dowels in some places leaving the dowel visible.I'm 5' 10" and the railing is at eye level in terms of height.

Unlike some other reviewers, I was not missing pieces nor were there any damaged pieces. However, one of the drawers split when assembled and I had to use extra wood glue in the seams. I hope it holds up.Before I started, I made a list of all the recommendations by other reviewers so I thought the assembly would go smoothly. Took six hours to put together with some time-eating problems.The biggest issue was putting together the first set of shelves. The directions told you to assemble the three shelves concurrent with the assembly of the sides, which is impossible. It should have stated to lay the side piece flat and then add the shelves. Then you should add the other side piece before standing it upright. The directions should also have instructed you to use wood glue.I'll give it 4 stars for looks and 3 stars for assembly but the biggest unknown right now is how it will hold up over time.Addendum: Had it for a year now with no problems. The other bunk bed I got for the twins at the same time has already fallen apart and been replaced.

Love this bed! I spent weeks looking on the internet and reading countless reviews for this type of bed. I could not be happier with this bed. It took about 5 hours to put together by myself. My husband could have helped but I wanted to give a review for those who will not have help. Now putting the bed on top of the two pieces can be difficult, but you can do it. As far as the shipping, it comes in 3 huge long boxes. You might want to try to be there when it is delivered or leave a note for the delivery man. Have it delivered as close to your door as possible. Taking each piece out as you need it and taking it in to the room to assemble is a good way to go.The bed has been up for a couple of weeks now. We are very pleased with the sturdiness of it. Our 6 year old loves the desk underneath. We added a curtain for privacy but can still hear her sing and talk to herself! Well worth the money and time to put it together!!
