Works well, kids love it.
One of my favorite memories from childhood in the 70's was getting freshly made cotton candy on the Boardwalk at Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ. It really bugs me how now it seems you can only buy it pre-made in plastic bags sitting there for who knows how long. Just never tastes the same to me as a freshly spun cone of cotton candy. My son has wanted a cotton candy machine for over a year so we bought him this one for his birthday. The other reviews regarding poorly written instructions are accurate, as are the comments about the styrofoam packing mess. I do not regret the purchase however, since it does seem to work very well.A few tips.1) The instructions, rubber feet, measuring cup, and extra fuse are in the drawer. After tearing the boxes apart looking for them we discovered them in the drawer during cleaning.2) Assembly is quite simple but not well covered in the instructions, basically you just need to put the large silver bowl on top of the unit. There are 4 metal brackets welded under the bowl that will clamp down with the 4 clamps on the side of the unit. Literally a 10 second job, very easy to do and self explanatory once you set the bowl on it and look underneath.3) The packing styrofoam got everywhere. Had I to do it again I would have carefully used a box cutter to cut away the sides of the box, and done it outside or in my garage to save the mess. There were styrofoam beads inside the machine that I patiently cleaned out by blowing and gently and carefully wiping. I used a piece of paper like dental floss to get the beads out of the heating elements outer tabs (shown in third photo with some cotton candy residue on them) and used a butter knife to get them out of the inner heating element bowl (where you pour the candy mix). If you have compressed air available that will help. I didn't but used my "built in blower" which worked fine. I'd spend the time to clean it well, not sure what temp styrofoam melts at, but if there is any foam in the heating bowl you may get it into your candy, so spend the 20 minutes to clean the unit well.4) I let the unit run and heat up for 5 minutes before using it, to burn off any new smells. Let it cool then ran it for 4 minutes on max heat setting before using it. Some styrofoam beads also flew out once I turned it on, even though I thought I had gotten them all. Let it spin for a minute before cranking up the heat.5) The measuring cup that comes with it doesn't make very much floss. I used a 1/2 cup measuring cup to get massive amounts of floss, next time will try a 1/3 cup at a time.6) After it heat up for 4 minutes I did turn it to 90 volts on the Voltmeter, that seemed to work fine and gave us a few extra seconds before the floss came out. At full voltage it started making floss almost instantly.7) The clear dome top will ship seperately, be patient and DON'T even think about using without the dome, unless your outdoors. Even with the dome a little floss will fly out, nothing major, we all got a laugh out of it.8) There are 2 You Tube videos I found helpful, just search this units listing name. The 2 I found helpful were "Nurxiovo Cotton Candy Machine" and " How to Clean your VIVO Cotton Candy Machine | CANDY-V001"Hope these tips help. Other than the poor instructions which, between this post and the 2 You Tube videos, aren't an issue, and the styrofoam packing mess I give it 5 stars based on our initial use and the fun the kids had. We used "Gold Medal FlossSugar" for our mix, (also on Amazon). The kids said I was right, freshly made is way better than anything out of the pre-made plastic bag stuff. So one bonus point for having the teens recognize and admit Dad was right abut something, again :)

Don't forget to buy a Cover
The media could not be loaded. This machine is a beast. Works great. Throws a lot of sugar. Must buy additional cover sadly. Machine pan delivered dirty and honestly looked pretty used. Very disappointed cover not included without costing so much additional. Instructions included very LIMITED misspelling, lack of clear instructions and pictures. Go online it helped. You will never make in large batches if you turn off and wait for spinner to stop every cone made.

Good machine, but minor details
It’s a good machine and it works well, but we got it for a festival and it was only made for a couple of hours at most. We had to stop in the middle and let it cool down and clean it out.Cleaning it was easy for the bowl, but the unit that got hot was very difficult to reach and you need to take it apart to really get to it well.We were trying to use bags for the cotton candy and that did not work out.Buy the cones!!It also needs to be on the perfect temp or gets too hot and starts burning or if it’s too low it goes really slow.We ended up letting it heat up on high and turning it down to about 80.All in all it’s a good machine and a lot of it was first time user errors, but wanted to put it on the review so that other people didn’t have the same issues.

Almost 5 stars
The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that the instructions were a little hard to follow. Bit the mechine itself works great.

Great Cotton Candy Machine!
This is a great cotton candy machine. It’s fairly simple to use and feels of high-quality construction. The machine comes with an extra electrical part (not sure exactly what it does) just in case the original burns out. I’d suggest checking out some YouTube videos for some techniques on making cotton candy with this machine or any other similar cotton candy machine. To clean the spindle portion (the hub where you insert the sugar), I’d recommend spraying some water into it and letting the hot water / excess sugar spin out into the tub while the heat is still on. Then, after turning the heat off and the machine cools down, I’d suggest using a paper towel soaked with very warm water to clean the remaining sugar off of the spindle. The tub portion is removable for easy cleaning and for more convenient storage. After making cotton candy, we soak the tub in warm water and all of the excess sugar melts right off. When we start the machine, we turn the heat dial all the way up such that the gauge reads 100. Once the cotton candy filaments start to emerge, we turn it down to about 90. It’s that simple. Also, just another tip. We tried to use cotton candy paper cones (Perfectware - PW Cotton Candy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q2P333K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)as well as thin rolled paper cotton candy holder sticks (90pcs Cotton Candy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B9W1M6B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) both of which are sold on Amazon. The cones were a bit easier to use because the cotton candy “sticks” to the tapered cone better than a uniformly thin paper cotton candy holder stick (after the cotton candy gets big, it loses grip to the thin stick and spins freely around the stick). Lastly, I’d suggest thats you don’t skimp on the sugar. Quite a bit never turns into cotton candy and gets stuck to the tub.

Over all Good, just a few tiny dents
Nothing came broken, works good, it did come dirty with weird stains in the bowl but some came off with washing it, there’s a few dents on the inside, can barely even tell .Side note : The lid did come 3 days before the machine, and I did think the machine got lost.

I brought this for halloween night the metal ring seems very thin and you can see the welding
As I was saying the barrel drum is very thin material and the machine works as it's supposed to expect it will not make 7 sticks in a minute the rim gets covered in floss and the center fusialar part gets covered in floss the sugar seems to get stuck inside and doesn't always spin out like it should instead it comes out the top and u can't was the center piece like u can on others u just have to pop water in the center and set it going hoping it clears it out the top part is a nightmare to clean but it is a million times better than those stupid little plastic ones I've had the draw is OK for change but the sticks don't fit in it at all the size of the bowl means to can't stand it on a conventional table it's to high to do it so my hubby built me a little stool to stand it on so it's at the right height for me u guess if ur over 6ft u be OK lol
