Downloads are slower than a turtle carrying a water jug! Worthless to me.

Worked like a charm! Opened my items, entered my codes, and my pogoplug cloud account was extended to three years!

I originally signed up for Pogoplug's unlimited cloud storage plan about 2 years ago. I bought this after the first year because the service did well for me in the first year. However, I have to say that this year I have had 2 occassions where files I've put on their cloud were corrupted. There was never any indication that the upload had failed in any way. Thankfully, I still had copies on my local hard drive. Nevertheless, I do not feel that I can count on the files I put on their cloud to be uncorrupted when I need them. I will not be renewing my subscription with Pogoplug once this subscription expires. I am currently evaluating both Dropbox and Google Drive as an alternative.

So I've been a Pogoplug customer for 2 years and it was great at first but they corrupted my files (apparently the impossible happened). They corrupted at least 50 GB of files and they cap the uploads so much. There were many times that my files couldn't be accessible and there are bugs in the web application that I've reported that they've refused to fix. I remember being a beta tester for their applications because the bugs were that bad. After a year, I ended up being gifted 2 of these cards and you know I wanted to try out the service again.I first tried using both cards and my subscription was not extended at all. The website used the terms "upgrade or extend your subscription." for these cards and when my 2nd card was used. My account did not get extended. I tried setting up a ticket on their support site and the customer representative replied 3 days later with a rather blunt and almost rude remark, stating they don't work that way. Apparently the description on this page is a lie since the customer representative said "consecutive 6 month cards cannot be 'stacked' to extend a subscription indefinitely.". Then what's the point of mentioning that it is a refill card then?

stay away from this pseudocompany!!! I had the pogoplug unlimited cloud, I had it for years now ... years of photos, important documents, videos... what can I say to you; 800gb of information and now ythey say that they can no longer support pogoplug cloud and in less than a month of their notice that they will no longer give this service... they erase all my 800 gb of data that I trust to them... PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANOTHER SERVICE ... THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU , YOUR DATA OR EVEN THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEY COMPANY... pogoplug just make me lost years of very important data to me I hope they rot as a company and never again give to any customer damage

Not sure why this product is still even offered or sold. It is worthless. With about one week notice, Pogoplug terminated it's Cloud service completely. Tried to get my files off but received multiple error messages. No response to multiple support requests via e-mail. No way to reach by phone. I had 2 years left on my 3 year unlimited cloud card and am unable to even use this even after paying for this.

Unreliable cloud data storage. They lost a bunch of my files, and the best they could offer was a refund for the subscription.

This service is great. And inexpensive. And a lifesaver if your computer or external storage solution drive quits on you. Mine did.To the reviewer who said they found their files corrupted. That can happen anytime you upload files to the internet or any server. If your connection goes down, your computer sleeps, or any other kind of hiccup where your upload gets interrupted, your files are in danger of not being complete. However, this would be really rare if you are using the backup software, since it constantly scans your computer drive to sync with what is in your cloud.And to the person who said the speed was slow: That is all on you and your ISP. The cloud does not control your upload or download speeds unless you are streaming from it. Just download the file to your local (C) drive for best use.
