Philips Audio Philips DAB+ Internet Radio PR802/12 DAB+ Clock Radio (Bluetooth, DAB+, Sleep Timer, Dual Alarm, Spotify Connect) Black

First one I purchased constantly gave out a hissing sound on DAB+ and internet. In addition to the hissing, the internet also had a clicking noise. This was like a fly buzzing around my head; i could have tried to ignore it but really it was just getting on my nerves. Plus if I wanted hissing and clicking (or sounds like a candle flame flickering) I'd just purchase a basic fm radio. Exchanged it for the same one and the 2nd did the exact same thing. So seems like it wasn't a manufacturing fault after all. Or could be pure coincidence. Other than that it's a great radio. Just disappointed with the unbearable hissing and clicking. My old DAB radio which cost me £15 3 years ago doesn't even make that noise. Also was slightly annoyed it didn't come with a UK adaptor. Had to get one separately.

Nice size with sturdy rubber feet. Can play from a bluetooth device, spotify, internet radio and DAB broadcast. Has one speaker that is quite loud (some DAB/internet radio stations broadcast in mono anyway). There are no audio outputs, not even a headphone socket. Easy to setup WiFi (found signal and entered password with dial button). Can set 2 alarm times with buzzer/internet/DAB/FM. My unit did not come with a standard UK plug (see photo).

No Bluetooth export facility

This might be a nice radio but the delievered item came with a non-UK mains plug TWICE.!!! despite me being assured that the stock would be checked after the first wrong delivery and I could order with confidence. Now I have to send them a photo of the plug tp prove it. Really poor stock control

wont connect to a network

I've been looking for something like this for a while. My home is in something of a black spot for radio reception. Alarm clock radios that just feature a little wire "tail" for reception are useless, so for years we have been using an old mobile phone to wake us up, which has an app installed to stream radio from the internet. Seeing this I thought it would be a more elegant solution and also offered the ability to bluetooth from phones. Due to the lack of reception I haven't tested the FM or DAB modes. Similarly we don't use Spotify (Deezer subscription!) so I haven't tested that. I've only made use of the internet radio function. As previously touched on, the UI is terrible. Confusing and seemingly a bit inconsistent. I've found myself changing menus too many times by accident to really think it is anything but! Once you get a station sorted the sound is excellent. Volume levels go very high with no distortion. I will likely persevere with the radio. Being portable I am hoping to take it on holiday later this year where I am sure it will really come into it's own in an area with decent DAB reception and we can make use of the Bluetooth functionality too.

Il me fallait une radio WIFI pour écouter mes radios favorites Belges lors de mes longs séjours en Espagne, et une radio est plus pratique qu'un smartphone... Cette radio est très simple à configurer, niveau sonore très bien et de bonne qualité.

Klein radiootje met veel afspeelmogelijkheden. Ontvangstkwaliteit van FM en DAB+ erg afhankelijk van de plek waar je de radio neerzet. Maar met internetradio en Spotify is er altijd wel wat te luisteren. Geluidskwaliteit is redelijk. Niet veel laag, maar ook niet blikkerig. De knoppen gaan wat stroef, dus de radio moet je vasthouden bij bediening . Bediening met een app kan ook: Zoek daarvoor niet naar Philips, maar naar de Silvercrest Smart Audio app.

En bra radio som har många moderna finesser som bluetooth och RDS. Tyvärr inte batteridrift som det stod i texten att den skulle ha utan endast nätdrift. Det hade passat bra för en sådan här liten radio. Den saknar tyvärr hörlursuttag också.

Per me che cercavo una radio con FM, DAB, Radio Internet e Bluetooth, è perfetta. La qualità dell'audio è buona, non eccelsa, adatta a chi non ha grandi pretese (se cercate audio di altissima qualità, scegliete altro). Tiene bene la connessione Wi-Fi. Peccato per la mancanza di una batteria e di un accesso AUX e/o USB, ma questo non influisce sul mio giudizio perché quando l'ho scelta ero già a conoscenza di quello che c'è e di quello che manca. Al momento (considerando che mi è arrivata ieri) sono molto soddisfatto.
