Liberty Ascent 2 toilet installation and review
I installed this system in my basement because i didn't want to cut my floor for a sump pump , This is an amazing system for basements garages or any place that's not the most convenient location for a standard toilet. the greatest part is, i did this project myself and i am not a professional i looked at a few youtube videos and it was a fairly easy installation you just need to be a handyman and idea of a few pvc plumbing and copper tubing plumbing i used shark bite quick connect fittings for my copper tubes also need an electrical outlet close by for the actual unit , overall i give this system 5 stars

Better than a normal toilet
We got several estimates on turning our laundry room into a 1/2 bath, we didnt really see the value in doing it at the prices we were quoted. I happened across this toilet in my research and thought it could work for our space. It was half the cost that we were quoted and it is awesome. We hooked a small laundry tub up to it, because it is in our laundry room, but it can also have a shower and a sink hooked up to it. We have a small beach house so we are happy with just a 1/2 bath since we have a shower in the main bathroom and another enclosed shower outside. We are very happy with our new space and it works great. It looks and acts just like a normal toilet and there are no odors.

Excellent solution for below grade bathrooms
I’ve had this product for around 3.5 years now and am very pleased with it!!! I am a DIY guy who isn’t afraid to ask for help... but on this install job, very little help was needed. I installed this toilet in a below-grade bathroom and ran a urinal to it as well (no shower and the sink was on the other side of the room and used the existing drain). I put the holding tank on the other side of the wall so it runs (fairly) quietly in the crawl space when in operation. Only 2x in 3 years have I had issues where I had to call the manufacturer and both times I was on the phone with someone in less than 2 minutes who told me exactly what to do. It should be noted that about once a year I now have to clean off two electrical probes (that determine when to turn on the grinder/pump) to make sure it functions when and how it should. The buildup causes the toilet to either not eject and pump when it should, or pump too frequently and for too long. In my opinion this is standard maintenance but is not mentioned anywhere else. While this can be annoying, it’s not difficult to do and doesn’t effect how happy I am with the toilet.

DON"T WASTE your time, patience and money.
I hate two things:1) the faulty design that means the effluent goes around and through the control unit electrical probes which means eventually the control unit starts malfunctioning, making terrible grinding noises, the alarm goes off etc. Believe me I have cleaned and re-cleaned the probes (not physically or easy in any form or shape, in fact disgusting). The cleaning lasts about two-three weeks and we start it again. The first control unit also started burning out the electric plug in the wall. That had to be replaced/rewired.2) The other issue is the company, Liberty, has only helped by replacing the control unit . Same issue after 2-3 months. I will never purchase this again. The company does NOT service its units. They take very little responsibility for their product except to give you a hard time on the phone when you call. They insist that we are doing something wrong! Meanwhile despite putting out $184 for my plumber to replace the first control unit ( and purchasing the toilet initially and paying to have it installed) I'm out a good $1200-1300 and have to find another (most likely Santiflo) and install that.Very unhappy as this toilet has not been used more than 10 months.

Great quality solution for below grade bathroom
Used this for a basement bathroom because I didn't want to bust up the concrete floor. Bought this 3 years ago and it's still running and working great. The only issue to be aware of, is like others mentioned, it uses electrodes to detect water flow into the unit. If the electrodes get buildup on them, it will make you think it's broke because it may run forever, or seem like it. Pop the top, clean the electrodes with gloves on preferably, put it back together and you're in business. As mentioned, it's been in place 3 years and gets daily use, not to mention multiple parties each year with 30 plus people using it.

Good so far
Have had this for around 3 months and no issues so far. Pretty easy to install. We had an initial issue with the pump not running but we fixed the venting per the instruction manual and no issues since. Changed out the ugly flush handle with a more modern one.

Great Toilet..shipping another story
Ordered this toilet for a basement bathroom installation where we needed to pump the waste up 6 feet to the sewer pipe..works fabulous..easy to set up..uses little water..its everything we expected and does what it says..shipping time was good until it arrived at destination..was overdue..had to phone and trace it down and found it was sitting in our own town not delivered..went and picked it up ourselves as we were feeling it was not going to be delivered any time soon..i think amazon should track delivery better and inform customer what is going on..
