Outside is perfect, but inside is not as good as outside
This products does the job. But if you need ’no welding' ring, it is not for you. The welding is smooth, but still you the welding.

Not round!
A lot of people complaining these are no good for crumpets, but as they are not crumpet rings (despite the headline) that's not surprising. What I do expect and require from a cake/pastry ring is that they actually be circular. One of these wasn't - a distinct, irregular oval, which makes it wholly useless for the intended purpose. In addition, the quality of the manufacture is poor - stained 'stainless' steel with brazing marks, and a minor welding seam on each. They came poorly packaged in a flat package that is usually used for paperback books or similar, inside of which was a plastic bag containing the 4 rings, which may explain the damage - great for paperbacks, not so great for round cake rings. Returned for a refund. Thank you Amazon!
