I almost didn't buy this! So glad I did! Most of the reviews I saw for this were negative, but I thought for the price I just had to give it a try. I think people are not following the instructions. You need to plug it into the power outlet closest to your breaker box. Luckily for me I have an outlet right by my breaker box. You may need a second to plug into the outlet farthest from your breaker box also, depending on how big your home is. When our first bill came my wife left the room before I opened it, as usual. when I saw the bill my reaction was , "OH NO! THIS CAN"T BE RIGHT!" my wife said here we go again... Remember you ran the cut off saw and shop vac for that DIY project. I said I know, that's why I can't believe the bill is 35 dollars! WHAT!? My wife couldn't believe it, and thought I was reading the bill wrong. My wife asked what did we do different? We even took more showers than usual, we have an electric hot water heater. Then I remembered we had bought, and were using, the Eco Watt. The next month our bill was only 25 dollars! I have recommended this to friends and family.

I was amazed it really works the Electric man that takes our reading had to come to take a look to make sure the meter was working correctly because there was such a drastic drop in the usage! I am so thankful for this product being disabled unable to work with a tight income and now with a new President that is an ENERGY killer our utilities will sky-rocket under his administration and he will take away people's jobs! So this will help to at least cut the usage on the Electrical side of the issue! Maybe they will create a product to help with Gas since he eliminated our independent fuel industry with his EO that will make us dependent on the Middle East again!

I am an average consumer and wanted to save a few $ like the rest of us who purchased this item. I went ahead and purchased a voltage meter to see exactly what this item would do for me. I plugged 2 large refrigerator and freezer units in to my meter and tested both with and without this device plugged into the same line and adjacent plug in the same wall and the results were exactly the same. Same voltage/amps and saw no difference. I'm returning the device. I believe that this device might be useful if you have large power fluctuations in your electrical lines and this might help there....same as a surge protector as it's intended to normalize the electrical wavelength same as a surge protector. Other than that it's really not useful in modern homes that have normal electrical wiring.

i bought 2. i plugged in each one to separate outlets on either side of my back door, which is closest to the power outlet outside. i haven’t had for a full monthly cycle yet, but my bill was $20.00 cheaper than last year for this time. So i have great hopes i will save that much or more monthly. add that up for a year!

I installed this device long time ago. The only thing I can state that my bill did not go up. If it did go down it stayed unnoticeable. However, it is very difficult to notice without special investigation.

No, do not buy this. This thing does not work at all. I figured for the price I would take a shot, even if we saved 10 bucks a month. Instead my electricity bill went up. I even put it at the plug in closes to the breaker box, like it says on another one, and it don't work, all it did was waste electricity.Update: Before I installed this device, my electric bill was 130 bucks, then I installed this device half way through the next month, and went up to $148. Now, after a full month with this device, my bill is $180. Never, since I have lived here, has my electric bill been over $140 in the summer time. This is a scam, do not by this.

Seems cheaply made. 3-4 months before I saw savings. But I also got a new fridge. Only saved 40 bucks
