When I remodeled the kitchen I wanted a matching trash can but could not bring myself to spend $100 on a trash can. I found the itouchless on Amazon and with reservation ordered it. I'm so happy I went against my normal cheap self. The lid closes silently automatically. My usual 13 gal. trash bags fit nicely in this one, and much better than the old trash can. The step open feature works nicely. It fits perfectly in the designated area. I do not have a sense of smell so have always been concerned about foul trash can odors. This can has an odor filter which is suppose to last 3 months!! Most importantly the trash can now blends nicely with the rest of my appliances and no longer is an eye sore in the kitchen. It is made of good quality material with a reasonable price tag. The finger prints wipe off easily. I 'm completely happy with this purchase.

I have had this trash can for almost 2 months. I never had problems until now. The trash can is broken! It seems as if it was dry rot. The trash can randomly stopped opening and the pedal doesn't work. I am extremely disappointed!

Love,love,love this trash can ! My dog had developed the bad habit of getting into the trash.Worse - he is smart enough to open plastic trash lids. So—- We needed serious containment with ease of access for us humans.This stainless Can is the perfect fit ! No more chewing on the container and we like everything else .Especially the removable liner with vent holes . Easypeasy ! Seals closed with no lip sticking out for my smart doggie to figure out, to open. If a mess develops on the outside ( dog slobber & bad aim ) just a quick wipe down is all that’s necessary.

We decided to spend the extra money on a heavier trash can rather than getting another plastic one - we do not regret that decision at all. The lit closing quietly is not only nice for the silence, but because it closes slowly it doesn't blow dust or other particles around when we empty our vacuum bin. It's light enough that you can lift it when you need to, but heavy enough that it stays put and doesn't get knocked over with a little bump. I also love how the bag tucks in on the insert - our old plastic can used to punch holes in our bags with the lid lift mechanism, or would get stuck on the bag and not open properly. No problem with this!Before I bought this I read several reviews about the top part breaking - I haven't had any troubles, and we have a house rule that you do not push the top down on the bin - always let it close on its own. I can't say that was the trouble with other reviewers, and perhaps it's just a matter of time, but I'm hoping that leaving it be to close will give it some longevity.Definitely happy I decided to go with this can over another crummy plastic model.

SO MANY TRASHCANS, SO MANY YEARS, BUT FINALLY I FOUND THE ONE AND ONLY I'LL EVER USE. I HAD PUT OFF ORDERING THIS BECAUSE OF THE COST. WHY SPEND MONEY, IT'S ONLY A TRASH CAN, BUT BELIEVE ME, IT'S WORTH IT LOOKS GREAT, SMELLS GOOD, EASY TO CLEAN AND IS THE ONLY TRASH CAN I'LL BUY AGAIN.

I bought this product twice for 2 separate homes. Both times the product arrived in perfect condition. No dents or scratches as were noted in some other reviews.This trash can comes in stainless exterior with a removable black, plastic interior. The removable can is where you place your trash bag. The removable can must be removed to release & replace the trash bag which I find inconvenient but the pro to that is the trash bag edge is hidden from view.The foot pedal at the bottom of the trash can is how one lifts the lid. The pedal works very well & the lid lifts completely every time. No need to touch it but if you did, the stainless trash can comes with a fingerprint resistant coating which shows very little finger prints & those that do show, wipe away with simply water on a paper towel. Don't use anything abrasive as it will scratch the surface. This product is in an adult only home & though we do use it regularly, we are gentle with it. If children are going to use this product, it may be a good idea to show them how then have them use it a couple times to demonstrate they know how to use it gently & not stomp on the pedal. Some reviews have mentioned the pedal broke but also mentioned their young child who couldn't weigh enough, managed to break it. The blame was placed on the product & not on the mistreatment of the product.Most things used gently will last but inevitably, most things do wear out over time. Nothing lasts forever but treated right, things can last longer. This was a great purchase & matches stainless appliances. The shape of this trash can sits nicely close to the wall & works perfectly with 13 gallon white Glad trash bags. There is an insert offer with the trash can to get 3 free trash bags. I signed up & they came pretty quickly for free. They were very heavy duty, like the black Glad trash bags. Though they were very good, maybe too good for simple kitchen/daily trash so I decided not to buy them, but I thought the freebie was a nice added touch. I haven't received any spam or further communication from the brand after signing up for the free trash bags which is great.There is an air filter included which could be replaced periodically. I have yet to notice I ever needed one as I don't tend to place terribly scented items in the indoor trash. I take them outside right away to avoid bad smells. I may or may not keep up on that replacement but do like the idea that it could potentially cut down on unwanted scents.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase & would definitely recommend to others. 5-star for sturdiness, as it is a quality piece. 4-star for easy to clean because though the user can easily wipe down the exterior, if one needed to clean the inside, they must remove the inner, black can which is inconvenient. 5-star for value for money because the product really is an attractive piece, cleans up nicely on the outside, & all parts seem to made with quality parts. I think it's a little over priced for a trash can but look around at what you want & qualities it has then compare prices. This one really checked the boxes on everything I was looking for & came with the best price I could find anywhere. There are cheaper trash cans but do they fit all your needs & are they made with high quality parts? I chose to make this an investment piece vs a disposable piece.

Plenty of people in reviews point out theirs came dented. Mine too. The metal is very thin and the packaging is terrible. It will almost surely be dented. The entire back of mine was as was a front corner. I am fairly handy and have removed dents from cars in a paintless fashion so I took care of this on my own. The metal is very pliable and it took almost no time to get it to 95% good.You have to use some care in putting bags on or they will fall. Its not hard, just put some effort into doing it.Lastly - my dog does not get into these. The lids, as long as not overfilled, come down and are slightly recessed which means she cannot snout them open. Like she did on our last ones.

I was concerned about this item after reading reviews that many arrived dented and scratched. Ours came yesterday and I checked it very carefully and it is in perfect condition. It is a little smaller than I thought, but it works good for the powder room where it will be used. Looks good, nice slimline design for a small space. Not inexpensive, but certainly a big improvement to what we had before. Happy with this purchase.
