First, this fits the FT891 perfectly too.Second, what others say is true. The included adhesive disk is garbage. The good news is this is easy to fix. First, through the included disk away. Second order proper gel reusable washable adhesive disks like these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079YV1ZWL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). There are others on Amazon too, but not many. I just bought these. Clean the suction cup and mounting surface with alcohol. Center the disk on the suction cup and with the suction lever up, press the mount firmly onto the mounting surface, while holding pressure lower the lever. Now it works the way it should!

Works very well but like all suction attached devices you have to watch heat.

Works with the ftm100 too. Keeps it stuck to the windshield nicely

This is the perfect size for my application. The positive points stop right there. The suction cup does not stay stuck to anything. The included disc that mounts on the dashboard under the suction cup helps..it holds for longer than an hour or two. But I don't consider falling off after less than a day acceptable. I've been trying it on the windshield because after all, a suction cup will stay stuck to glass, right? Wrong. Every morning I get in the car and the radio head is laying on the dash. Re-stick it, go to work, come out at the end of the day, re-stick it again, and on and on it goes! The adjustment for the angle of the mount is too course, no way to make it level, it is too far either way with just one click . The suction lever is nearly impossible to get your finger behind, which makes having to re-stick this thing all the more annoying. It is overpriced and pure junk. If I'd kept the box I'd have sent it back. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AWFUL DEVICE. Yaesu, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Work well with the Alinco DMR color radio also. Good sound quality

It came as described, used the suction thing on dashboard per installation instructions, it sticks just fine, I attached the Radio head to the Suction cup unit, placed it on the ring per instructions and falls off after a few minutes. Added moisture to the cup, still does not hold. Waste of money IMHO. I ended up using the factory bracket and cover it with a Towle for protection. I should have returned it but it came with no instructions to do that.

did not work as expected. returned and got a full refundthe pad that it is send to help it stick to a dashboard does not support the weigtchecked with Yaseu and the advised that this is not a mount from them

Suction comes loose and drops the control head after a few hours. Even when cleaning the spot on the window with Windex and cleaning the suction cup, it will not stay in place. Not useful.
