This came out so cute! Fun to do with clear instructions. The best part is it came with plenty of thread. Had some left over in every color.

Updated to include pictures of my finished project (not ironed and framed yet) and all the leftover thread. Original review: The colors in the picture do not match the colors of the floss - they are much more gray and olive. So these aren’t cute little blue birds. But the kit and pattern are nice - easy to follow, plenty of strands, and the fabric stiff enough to not need an embroidery hoop. I still like the project so far, so only took off one star.

I’ve read some of the reviews of this product. I ordered the counted version, not the printed. Personally, I like it. True the thread isn’t great, but I wouldn’t expect much more considering the price. I’m working on the first bird now. I’ve had no trouble with the thread or needle. I like the fabric. It’s a bit more firm so I don’t need a hoop and I like the surging around the edges to keep it from fraying, so I didn’t need to tape it like I usually do. I found the color key to be fine and easy to read. Yes the color doesn’t match what is on the chart, but it actually says it doesn’t match and has been done that way so it’s easier to see. I’m not sure really how that would change things, but I didn’t have a problem with it. It’s a fun little kit, that I can take with me. If you run out of thread, which you shouldn’t, it has the comparable DNC color to replace it. Which is helpful. In short, I have been cross stitching for years, and for the price, you can’t beat it. They have another that has 3 different birds, which I will probably also order. In my humble opinion, it is a beginner kit, for someone that has a basic knowledge of counted cross stitch. In the mean time, don’t try to make it more than what it is and enjoy it!

Fun kit, good price. I like to cross stitch when traveling and this made a perfect travel size kit.

I ordered this kit because I liked the subject. I started it and then put it aside, now I’ve started working on it again. I’m disappointed in the quality of the floss provided. It frays easily. I have floss that’s 20 years old and still very strong. Although the floss has DMC numbers I have my doubts.

Lovely design. I got the counted one. I'm not sure I'd regard it as super easy as there are some close colour shades to keep track of, but maybe my eyesight is just not what it used to be! Needles are useless though. Eye too small. Get yourself a separate needle. Overall good for the price.
