You may be comparing the sets to the standard American sets which tend to be larger (dinner plate average 11-12 inches). Most Brit/Euro dish sets are smaller by American standards.

Q: I can't see the dinner plate. Is it floral all over or is the center white?

The flotal pattern flows part way into the middle of the plate. The very center is a small section of white. Dinnerware Depot or Tableandhome.com may have a single picture. Try just the dinner plate on Amazon first. Sometimes they sell individual pieces. I have this set, and I love it! The other sites have more pieces.

Q: I know Johnson Brothers is from England, but are the dishes made there or in China?

The Johnson Brothers company was acquired by the Wedgewood Group in 1968. In 2003 they transferred production to China as it was cheaper. These dishes would say " England 1883 on the bottoms of them In 2015 Wedgewood Group was acquired by Friskars and the production of the Johnson Brothers line ceased.
