Is it true that one cannot adjust settings when set to Continuous AF (especially while shooting video)? Items such as stop, shutter, etc?

I believe that's true, if i want to shoot video and control the stop,ISO,and shutter I shoot in manual mode.

I just bought the a57 and find the evf to look pretty washed out and lacking contrast compared to my sony a7ii. is that normal because of oled vs this

As a former owner of the A57, I can definitely agree that its EVF viewer was a bit hard to see at times. The same is true for the A58 as well. Its an unfortunately side effect of the technology. I am not sure if the A77II viewer is any better or brighter. That is one primary reason why I switched camera makers.

I am trying to decide on the Sony A57 bundle with the two Sony lenses or the bundle without the lenses& purchasing a Tamron 18-200 lens instead. Help

best to buy the camera body and then Tamron SP lens, not the std Tamron, also a great lens is the Tamron 16-70 f2.8. These lenses rival the Sony G series for much less $$
