Very good. Easy to make. To make half serving just use half what the recipe says. I used half the box and 1 egg and half the water. Worked great.

Not a bad start, but we had to add some other seasonings as the taste was a bit bland. We looked everywhere for a mix so glad we found this.

I am WOW'ed by this mix! As much as I love latkes, I hate making them from scratch and therefore don't make them often. I tried boxed mixes before (something German from the "ethnic food" aisle at the grocery store and Swedish one from IKEA), but was not impressed. I am glad I stumbled upon this at Amazon and decided to give it a try (the price was right!): it tastes just like homemade and can be whipped up in no time at all! All you need is 2 eggs, some water and oil (to fry).Having had less than pleasant experience with boxed potato pancake mixes before I was a little skeptical (and the boxes looked so small!), but Manischewitz potato pancake mix exceeded my expectations. One box was enough to feed our family of five (two adults and three kids) as a main dish (would definitely feed more people if served as a side or an appetizer). The flavor and amount of salt was just right, and we were able to get the desired textures: I love mine superthin - almost lacy - and crispy, while my husband likes his on a thicker/softer side, both turned out wonderful and absolutely delicious!Now that Amazon's price had dropped a little more, I will be definitely re-ordering!Great product. Solid 5 stars from our family!

It was raining outside, and a bit windy. The taste and texture are good, but just a tad salty. Perhaps next time, I will make it with milk to cut down on the salt. I actually made 2 batches, because I love it with onions, but my men do not.Very filling. My father-in-law (93, lives with us) is gluten intolerant and he puts jam on it. He was very enthusiastic, because he always loved pancakes and French toast, but can't have flour based products any more. This was a huge win for him! I'm wondering if I can use the leftover 'pancakes' to make a kind of sandwich for him.

Disappointing in that they are way too salty and there's no way to correct that. Also, latkes don't hold together well. I think the instructions should be rewritten to add less water. It would also be nice to have an option to bake instead of fry.
