Where Are the Night Animals? (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 1)

Good book, more level 2 than a 1.
Interesting book, good book, no problems with the books quality. I dinged 1 star, I would have preferred a half, as its not a big deal to me, it calls itself Level 1 so it got sorted into the Easy Reader level 1s and it seems closer to a 2 for amount of words and size print. My daughter easy reads 1s, but can read 2s too. So this wasn't a problem for me. Just a quick note for people trying to figure out reading level difficulties .

seemed out of order and disjointed
I was underwhelmed. The images were beautiful but the book seemed out of order and disjointed. Pages 14 and 15 seemed like they should have been at the start of the book since it introduces the topic and defines vocabulary. Plus, each animal's "story" was split having a section before and after pages 14/15 - so you felt like it was really two books or was assembled wrongly (I checked the page numbers and it was correct). Returning.

Homeschool Kindergarten Science
This book is great. We will be using it with a unit study about Night Creatures (from the evan moor Oct. Theme Pockets book). The illustrations are well done, content is very good. My son loves these books. We will definately be getting more of the LET'S-READ-AND-FIND-OUT-SCIENCE series.
