I received the fan an I did not install myself as I am a danger to the world with any tool in my hand. Electrican installed very quickly - the fan is so very quiet that you sometimes chave to check to be sure it is off I also can run the fan often time on low because the large blades (use to have smaller blade in living room) cool so efficient. The fan also is classy and has had comments from several people on how quiet it is

Our son and wife chose this ceiling fan and really like it, and so they suggested we buy one, and we did. It is very good quality, went up and became balanced without much trouble, and it looks just like the photos.

This looks so nice. It's a great addition to my home office. Love the remote and it has a ton of features like a variable speed setting (changes speed on its own, imitating a natural breeze), you can dim and brighten the light, you can put it on a walk-out timer so it shuts off after a period of time. I don't use most of the features, but nice to know they're there.Installing it was fairly easy except for the transceiver of the remote. There's a small box that you're supposed to stuff into the mounting bracket and it's a royal PIA. They couldn't make this box any smaller? After finagling it for a while, I finally got it in there but it just seems there could be an easier way to do this.Now that it's all set up though, I love it. It adds sophistication and class, along with a tad bit of contemporary but not too much.

I bought this to replace my livingroom fan that finally died. I would suggest having a second person to help install it. Although I was able to do it by myself, it would have been easier with a second pair of hands to help. The fan pushes air just fine for the larger room, and I like the style of it. Having a remote does away having those little pull chains dangling from it like other ceiling fans. The "walk away" button on the remote is handy for when its time to go to bed. It will keep the light on for a minute before shutting off so you have time to get up walk to your bedroom before it becomes dark. It can be a very bright light but it also dims down too if you hold the light button.

This is such a great fan. Easy to install and gorgeous. Once I got the first one up I bought another. No regrets!

While researching this Honeywell fan, I did notice that there were several recent poor reviews regarding the installation and operation. However, there were many positive reviews as well. Unfortunately, I decided to purchase the fan. I took note while putting the fan together that there were several issues with the design. Too many wires to connect and stuff in a very small area that is a electrical safety concern. The receiver design and placement were not conducive to the small area it was too be placed according to the instructions. Another safety concern. Once I installed the fan, I tested the operation, which took at least 15 min to follow all the steps to get the fan/light to turn on. Before stuffing the wires in the small space, I made sure that all the wire nuts were tight and secure. I began to lift the wire housing cone in it's place and heard and electrical arc. I dropped the cone back down and checked the wiring again and could not see an issue. After completing the install, I tried to operate the fan/light and could not get either to operate. I called the support line and was instructed by the tech to complete a series of operational checks that took about 15 minutes to complete. Did not fix the problem. At this point, I came to the conclusion that Honeywell is selling a product that may or may not function. With the advancement of technology, It's hard to imagine why a company like Honeywell would design and sell such a poor product. I'm returning the fan and will continue to research to find one that is built with quality in mind.
